It's happened to the best of us—a drunk dial or text; a humiliating Tweet or incriminating photo uploaded to Facebook. Spirits are high, gestures are fearless… If only we could take it all back once the cold, sober morning light creeps through the blinds.
This application lets you send web pages to your Kindle instantly.
Are you a Scrabble fan? Want to play Scrabble for free on your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad? Well, look no further. Just recently, EA has released a new game of theirs, SCRABBLE Blast, onto the App Store. SCRABBLE Blast allows you to play 2 out of the 4 game modes possible for free, however, if you want to get the other 2 modes you’ll have to either download SCRABBLE Free or pay $1.99 via a in-app purchase to obtain those other 2 modes.
sounds impossible but cut a hole in the bed the size of phil. lay a sheet over the bed covering the hole. when phil lays down he will fall through. note the PHIL TRAP
Love them or hate them, Live Photos have their place. The problem is, they're always on, requiring you to disable the feature every single time you open the Camera app. At least, that's how Apple has things set by default — but you can change that with just a few taps.
While Samsung's three-tabbed gesture controls are pretty intuitive, there's still a learning curve. By removing the buttons, you seemingly lose the ability to jump between apps with the quick switch gesture. I say seemingly since there's still a way, it's just not very obvious.
The new gestures in iOS seem, at first, to replace the old way of doing things. Rearranging and deleting apps from your home screen is totally different now, right? Well, not really. You can still do it the old way, if you know how.
Android's de facto document scanner is Google Drive, but it's far from the most intuitive method. With One UI 2, your Samsung Galaxy device now has a document scanner built-in, with the ability to automatically detect documents like letters, business cards, and notes that you can scan with just a tap.
QR codes are like smart little cubes of data. To unlock this data, you will need a QR reader. These are annoying because you typically have to download a third-party app, and some of these apps are shady. Luckily your Samsung Galaxy running One UI has a hidden QR scanner built right in.
Between school, work, and your personal life, there's a good chance you have multiple Google accounts. Most Google apps let you log into all of them simultaneously to receive applicable alerts when they arrive. Well, there's a dead-simple way to switch between these accounts, and it just takes one swipe
If you have an ARKit-compatible iPhone or iPad, check for a software update, as iOS 11.3, with ARKit version 1.5 in tow, has just dropped. As we previously reported, ARKit 1.5 brings several new augmented reality features for app developers to use.
As you've probably heard by now, Snapchat's new redesign isn't going over too hot with its users. Its stock plummeted last week when Kylie Jenner said she'd be moving on to more Instagram-y pastures. With all these factors, you'd probably assume that there is some empirical evidence that Snapchat is in the tube. Well, you'd be wrong.
In an effort to be more inclusive, Facebook will release over 1,500 ethnic and gender diverse emojis for its Messenger app across all platforms on June 2nd, 2016. The update includes the usual emoji diversity inclusions, such as skin tone choice for faces and hand gestures, and widened gender roles such as female police officers, surfers, and runners, to name just a few, along with fancier "gender-agnostic" options. Beyond the diversity choices themselves, the update will allow you to set a c...
You may not own an Android TV device, but your current smart TV may have Android TV functionality built-in already. If not, your next TV could. Either way, you won't need an Android phone or tablet for a remote, because there's a new iOS app for iPhone that'll let you control the service with a D-pad or voice. Google has just officially released Android TV to the iOS App Store, specifically for the iPhone and iPad running iOS 8 or higher. With the app, you can control your Android TV with the...

Nexus owners in the United States are eligible to grab an easy $20 e-gift card from Best Buy this holiday season. All you have to do is install the Android Pay app and use it to make a purchase at one of the million-plus participating merchants through December 31st, 2015.
Of the Google services that come bundled in Android devices, none is more useful than Google Now. By combining search with timely cards that hope to guess your next move before you even make it, Google Now is everything a virtual assistant should be.
This morning Box released new versions for iPhone and iPad apps, and with them, a nice little surprise in the way of free stuff. Users who sign up within the next month will be gifted 50 GBs of cloud storage. This is a huge upgrade from their standard 10 GBs, and should be more than enough for most of us. In addition to the storage give away, the app includes a new UI, preview support, commenting, and other upgrades.
Skype has recently made some really great changes to their Android app that were once exclusive to softModders with rooted devices. Previously when Skyping, using your device for other tasks was impossible. Your entire screen was devoted to your Skype conversation.
You might want to switch countries on iTunes for many reasons. Today I will show you how to switch countries to get apps before they release in Canada (or even sometimes the US). Many apps usually release in New Zealand before they come to USA and Canada. Canadians might also want to switch to American iTunes since there is way more apps.
Yesterday, the much anticipated iOS 6.1 jailbreak was released. With the wide array of Cydia apps that are newly available to jailbroken iPhones came an unpleasant surprise—evasi0n causes the built-in iOS Weather app to crash over and over.
The great thing about security apps (other than the obvious) is that there is an abundance of them littered throughout the Google Play store. Cerberus, Got Ya!, Avast! Mobile Security, Norton Security & Antivirus, and Android Lost Free are just a few of the gems you can find in the plentiful sea of security apps for Android. Once in awhile, though, a new security application comes along that stands out from the rest, like AeGis.
YouTube and Vimeo are two of the most well known video websites, and each receive millions of views a month, with YouTube being one of the most visited sites in the world. Well, for folks who have mobile phones, but like watching videos on a TV or other large display, now there is a cool way to view them in Google Chrome using your smartphone as a remote control.
Instagram allows us to vicariously live through others, experiencing their moments with them. It's an enormously popular application and has already garnered 100 million users, but it has only been made available for download on Android and Apple devices. Sure, there are third-party apps where you can browse, like, and comment on other people's Instagram photos—but they don't give you a way to upload your own pictures. So, what about all of the other people who want to share their lives, but ...
It seems like Apple is always releasing something new, so there must be a lot of lonely iDevices out there going unused, right? With Seedio, you can make the most of your Apple products by connecting them to make one synchronized loudspeaker. As long as all the devices have the Seedio app installed, you can connect as many iPads, iPhones, and iPod touches as you want. All you need is a wireless connection. You can play music from anywhere: your library, YouTube, or the Web. It also works as a...
Finally! Counting down the days to a paperless (and errand free) banking system. Both no-hassle and eco-friendly, USAA bank has released an iPhone application that allows its customers to deposit their checks via iPhone. The process is simple: photograph both sides of the check, hit send, and void, file or discard the paper trail.
First of all find or borrow a bull. Then get a big red sheet/cloth and tie it to something. Then use something to get it shaking(like a giant blow dryer).
Bored and want to make a cool decoration? Using a sheet of paper and an exacto knife you can make a paper pyramid tower. Make a paper pyramid tower.
There is nothing more annoying than a greedy roommate. It's absolutely infuriating to wake up and find the cookies your mother just made for you gone without a trace. Your favorite drink is empty and the homemade meal you worked so hard on the night before is nowhere to be found. This irked me so much that I made this shocking cookie jar. When a cookie burglar touches the side and the lid of the jar simultaneously, a small electric shock stops them in their tracks.
No longer do you need to crowd around your tiny smartphone to watch a funny YouTube video with your friends. If you've got a display nearby with a web browser and internet access, you can take control of it with your mobile device for free with the new Clik app.
Watch out Instagram, there's a new free, sociable photography filter app that hit the iTunes App Store recently, and it just might be some good competition. It's called PicYou and might sound familiar to some of you photo sharing fiends out there. That's because it's been a successful web-based alternative to Instagram for about six months now.
It’s been a fun week here at Edit on a Dime, and not just because I drove around LA for an hour with an iPhone taped to the hood of my car for a review. Here’s what I was up to:
Last week I had a quick look at V.I.K.T.O.R, the anthropomorphized automated editing app that lives on your iPhone, and today it’s time to put it to work.
Welcome, dear readers, to week two of Edit on a Dime, the community for inexpensive, and, dare I say it, free in many cases, editing software.
Christmas is fast approaching and that means it's time for the big guy to come down our chimneys and eat up all of our cookies. Whether or not you believe in good ol' St. Nicholas, here's your chance to look like him! Santa Booth is an app available in the App Store as well as the Android Market. Though both apps hold the same name, they are made by two different developers.
Welcome to Minecraft World! Check out our advanced tutorials and come play on our free server. Real time redstone clocks are a marvel of redstone technology. Not only can they keep track of time, they are capable of powering other more complicated redstone machines. Regardless of whether a redstone clock runs a ten second or twenty-four hour time span, they operate on the same principles, which can be easy and straightforward to understand.
Last Thursday's post demonstrated how to Make Yin-Yang Pillow boxes, which were based on equilateral triangles and squares. The units for making these boxes were created by Phillip Chapman-Bell, who runs an amazing origami blog and has a spectacular flickr photostream. Using these units, you can make also make 4 of the 5 platonic solids. I made an additional template based on the regular pentagon so that the dodecahedron can be built completing the set.
