When I was unemployed I looked for different ways to make money. Most of that work was connected with online stuff; I’ve tried writing content, refreshed my old Photoshop skills and even created postcards, but then I realized that my passion to music can bring me more money than all of the other work. I was an active member of a few musical forums and started to add affiliate links to my posts instead of simple ones, so they can be profitable.
Tomo Sushi in Atlanta with a friend/vendor on a recent work trip. Expensive but delicious and inspirational presentations. I don't remember exactly which fish this was. It wasn't mackerel or needlefish. The flesh was minced with some green onion and white wine vinegar I think. Good stuff.
Mad Science has entered the automatic pet feeder project as an instructable in the Make It Real challenge. Nine of the winners will receive their own 3D printer! Just get some pure peppermint oil and put it on the end of a napkin or tissue or a swab. Put it around youre nostrils and breath in deep. It is very refreshing and opens up those clogged sinuses . After a while you stop coughing. Do it until you stop.
These guys take found item recycling to the max. This isn't exactly the most useful application for recycling, but if the stuff is going to be around for the next couple of thousand years, it might as well look cool.
Theo Jansen is really cool. If you dig around in the corkboard here, you can find another video about him. He makes amazing kinetic sculptures from PVC pipe, and has a wonderful artistic point of view. I just discovered this old TEDTalks podcast via Taylor Browning's site. Fantastic stuff, check it out:

Just when I thought I'd scoured the internet for every cool existing PVC project, this thing came up.
These guys always make cool things, and when you give them a stack of PVC pipe, it is no exception. There's a rough how-to here that shows concepts without walking you through the actual projects they made. Very cool stuff.
With about ten bucks and some imagination, you can make some cool stuff.
This is what happens when grad students start playing with PVC pipe. This stuff is really cool for prototype robotics applications. This article is a how-we-did-it as opposed to a how-to, but if you've got all of the crazy instrumentation and software that they do, you can start to play on levels that a lot of us (myself included) can't even imagine.
Found this strange creature beside the road. Didn't dare to touch it, so i took a picture instead. These are actually its real colors- no image enhancing filters or stuff. Taken with a Olympus point and shoot camera.
I am anti-oil, anti-gas, and just anti-fossil fuel in general, which causes me some serious vaccilation of the mind when it comes to my enthusiasm for the do it yourself wonder material known as PVC. Even though I love this stuff for its properties, I really do not like the processes that go into making and disposing of it. That means I get happy when I see news like this.
My husband is Arab, and this dish is one of his Mom's most popular dishes. She stuffed cucumbers with rice and ground meat, and we finished it by simmering it in tomato sauce on the stove top for an hour and a half. That was soooo delicious.
(Warning, cuss words throughout)
Yes, I'm one of those annoying people who sign up just to promote their own game. I'll be brief. I turn famous novels into games. The latest is the Count of Monte Cristo, the classic story of revenge. Visit EnterTheStory.com for video, demo, screenshots, all the usual stuff.

I've been trying to get a picture of my favorite pond for years. Jerking the camera vertically over a slightly long exposure did it. It's not a perfect pond but I love it anyway. The blur got rid of the stuff I didn't like. I can't wait to try this in other places.

Rajo tries to beat the clock but just has too much good stuff to say about Hanna, the awesome new film from director Joe Wright.
Its a quick slip and dive to the finish, well the end of the course,The idea is a slip and slide down a rough course of mud and water, snaking about side to side, while having hay and saw dust thrown at you at first, then the nasty stuff begins!horse dung is thrown at you while you slide down and then there is a ramp, and at the other end, is a huge pile of horse and cow dung!...The diving is judged by a panel of 3 judges and the person scores the best dive wins! Its that simple!
I had one day-old slice of Pizza Hut Stuffed Crust. I was going to just make toast. I'm so glad this happened instead. Fusion cuisine bacheeze-stylee.
Ok, I just came across a bunch of cool Zelda stuff and had nowhere to put them - mostly via MetaFilter:

Apparently IKEA does not sell matches or lighters, so Helmut Smits was forced to improvise. Titled FLAMMA, this conceptual art piece is outdoor survivalism for the resourceful yuppie set.
