This omelet is thanks to SIB, a friend who gave me a pack of Korean dried seaweed, which I had never seen or tasted before. Since no one at my home dare try and eat it raw, in my experience, almost anything tastes good with eggs, so I experimented with the seaweed and tried mixing it with eggs for breakfast, hence the name Korean Seaweed Omelet. So, here’s how I made it.
If you're a musician in need of some lessons, there's no better way to learn than with MusicRadar's so-called "Tuition" instructions. Illustrator Lisa Hanawalt innovates the typical gossip rag by rendering wicked rumors of Devil Wears Prada villain Anna Wintour as clever cartoon drawings. Though akin to political cartoons, the result is more US Magazine (if US was prettier to look at). As usual, Wintour is depicted as soulless (and to think, she supposedly bedded Bob Marley!).

Welcome, dear readers, to week two of Edit on a Dime, the community for inexpensive, and, dare I say it, free in many cases, editing software.
Now we're getting to the kids who actually know what's going on. You're more likely to get enthusiasm and dare I say focus from grade school and middle school kids. Here's the lowdown:
Our first look will be at scavenger hunt beginners. The youngsters. The ones some people say shouldn't even be doing a scavenger hunt (and maybe they're right). If you dare to put on a treasure hunt for people who can't tie their shoe, here is what you need to know.
Largely thanks to Banksy's critically acclaimed, Oscar-nominated docu Exit Through the Gift Shop, the pseudonymous British graffiti artist's notoriety has skyrocketed—so much so that there's now an app for geo-locating a Banksy-near-you. If you've got an iPhone and you're a fan of the artist, you're in luck. For $1.99, Banksy-Locations detects your current location and if there's a piece nearby, drops a pin on the map, locating and identifying the name of the work. The app also contains compr...
Meet DareDroid: sexy nurse, geek couture and mobile bartender, engineered into an all-in-one technologically advanced garment. Created by fashion designer Anouk Wipprecht, hacker Marius Kintel, and sculptor Jane Tingley, the team calls themselves the Modern Nomads (MoNo), and their series of garments fall into Wipprecht's invented family of "Pseudomorphs". Pseudomorphs are tech-couture pieces that transform into fluid displays—which is exactly what DareDroid does.
For most thrill-seekers, skydiving alone is an adrenaline rush worth experiencing only once, but for the death-defying, elite skydiver, the wingsuit is the next step in daring midair adventures. But thankfully, we people who like our feet planted on the ground can enjoy the thrill ride via our flatscreens, due to some fearless cinematography from the daredevils themselves. And though there is no shortage of awesome skydiving footage on the web, there is a shortage of camera angles, with most ...
Daring or just plain stupid? French X-game medalist Taig Khris sets a new world record, jumping from the first floor of the Eiffel Tower. The rollerblader dove from a height of 131ft onto a massive quarter pipe ramp. There is some controversy over his newly earned title, however.
A British prisoner was recently caught with a tattoo gun rigged from a Sony Playstation. The crafty D.I.Y.er broke down the Playstation and attached the console motor to a finely sharpened ballpoint pen.
Robots are great for performing tasks that are otherwise too dangerous for man (e.g. dead body extraction bot). BeetleCam is a cute little bot that takes all the danger out of wild life photography. Controlled remotely from a Range Rover about 50 yards away, BeetleCam ventures where no sane photographer dares to go (at the feet of a charging elephant, say). "We thought that Elephants would be an easy subject for BeetleCam’s first outing. We were wrong… we quickly learned that Elephants are wa...
So is it possible to live with only 100 things or less? Blogger David Bruno has created sort of an online meme dare called "100 thing challenge" for people to live on 100 things or less. If you Google "100 thing challenge," you can see how other people who have taken on the challenge have whittled down their personal belongings to just 100 things.
Dean Potter, one of National Geographic's Ten Adventurers of the Year, set a world record for base jumping in 2009.
Video games and art have somewhat of a sticky relationship. Many video games have large teams of talented artists doing amazingly creative work, and yet the art community is only just beginning to utilize video games as art (sometimes). Perhaps if video games were shown not just as a medium of expression, but as a means of creating great art as well, the art community would be forced to consider it differently. The third part in the Hacked Kinect series will focus on the artistic possibilitie...

When the iPad 2 was released earlier this month, as to be expected there was a whole lotta buzz. And for good reason—while the the newest version shares the same price tag as the old, it boasts some significant new features. In case you missed it, here's a quick overview:
Antivirus programs usually aim to prevent malicious software from crashing your system, not ARE malicious software that crashes your system. Except, that was the case with AVG Anti-Virus yesterday when they released a software update that rendered 64-Bit Windows 7 systems useless. It affected both free and paid AVG owners.

Ah, turducken. The fondest of all portmanteau words and the tastiest of all Thanksgiving day meals. Turducken is a turkey stuffed with a duck stuffed with a chicken—three glorious poultry meats molded into one marvelous, boneless hunk of flesh that any sane carnivore wouldn't dare resist. It's slapped together with pork sausage stuffing, sometimes even three different kinds, and caked with Cajun seasonings.
In 1969, the Apollo 11 crew were the first to walk on the Moon, the New York Jets defeated the Baltimore Colts in the third Super Bowl ever, Led Zeppelin released their first studio album, and one of the most pivotal moments in music history happened—Woodstock.

Four years ago Mind Candy was a pretty small game company. They were best known for their revolutionary but short lived ARG Perplex City, and had no other successful franchises to fall back on when that ended. Their plan to save it? Start a free online social game for children ages 7-12 called Moshi Monsters, where kids can create monster pets, raise them, and socialize with one another in a controlled, safe environment.
Posted with permission via HereComeTheYanks.com I will get this out of the way early and then not mention it again...the referee for the USA vs. Slovenia game was awful. He missed key plays and called back the goal that would have sent the USA to victory. Nothing he did was good...as evidenced by FIFA's (supposed) forthcoming grade of a "poor performance" and relief of all further World Cup center refereeing duties. He was horrible, and cost us the win...for the most part.

This is a game just like "TRUTH or DARE" just the "JACKASS" way. Get some of the crew (try for AT LEAST 4) ready. Once the players are known, find out who will be going first. That person will pick someone to pick "LOSE OF FAIL". If they pick "LOSE" you must think of 1st dumb idea pops in your head or something already made up. If they pick "FAIL" they are hit in the nuts (as many times as you all have picked). This goes on till one person is left.

Shadows of the Dammed (360/PS3) is a polarizing game. It's not shy of being crass and crude. Go ahead and judge the game by the following examples (click to enlarge):
There's a whole lot of brouhaha going on right now about the hidden plug-ins being installed unknowingly in the Mozilla Firefox web browser, with companies like Apple, Microsoft and even Google being named top offenders.
