For the holiday season, a great knitting project is a snowflake design. It's perfect for handmade Christmas gifts. You can knit just one, or a row of them, or use them as full pattern on a sweater or blanket—or whatever project you choose.
Once you know how to CAST ON and do the KNIT STITCH you are ready to start a project. VIDEO DEMONSTRATION HOW TO KNIT THE GARTER STITCH.
There are many beautiful stitches to learn in knitting. Some are harder than others. Some look hard, but really aren't. The RASPBERRY STITCH (shown in the header) is a quite easy. Once you get into the rhythm of doing it and practice for awhile you'll agree.
A whole salt-crusted fish? What does that mean? You basically cook a whole fish in a blanket of salt. Well, it's not just salt, but it's mostly salt. You bake it and then you remove the crusted salty layer before eating. You then remove the fish skin to get to the edible goodies. The salt basically dries out the skin so you can remove it.

The loading screen says it's expansion time! Looks like we'll be getting a new horse sometime in the future too!
An I CORD BIND OFF is a useful technique to know. It makes a nice edging for a pocket or around a potholder or blanket.
Once you learn how to knit an I-CORD you will find many different applications in which to use them. One thing I like to do is to make a FLOWER from an I-Cord. The flower can then be applied to a sweater, a blanket, a scarf, a purse. There are limitless possibilities.
The bamboo stitch is a beautiful, versatile stitch that can be used for lots of different kinds of projects. I especially love using it for baby blankets and scarves. It is an easy, reversible stitch. Both sides aren't the same, but both are very nice looking.
I love circular needles! I use a circular most of the time, even when I am knitting straight. One of the reasons I love knitting on a circular is because with a circular needle, you don't have to worry about dropping a needle. You just have one. It's particularly good to knit straight on a circular needle when you're making a large project such as an afghan or blanket, but I use one even if I'm knitting a small project such as a scarf or wash rag. The photo below is of a scarf I'm making with...
Now that you have learned how to knit ribbing, you will have to know how to bind off ribbing. If you have knitted something that needs to have a stretch to it, such as socks or a neck, this is a very important technique to know.
There will be many times when you will want both sides of your work to look the same. One of those times, for instance, might be when you are making a scarf. Another time you might be making a shawl. Or it might be a baby blanket, an afghan or a throw. You'll see, as you're knitting, when you would want to use a "double sided" stitch. This is one of the best of those stitches and it is called THE SEED STITCH. It's very easy. All you need to know is the knit stitch and the purl stitch and you'...
Here is a list of links you can use to ask for or give special gifts. First you need to find your Facebook ID number and copy it down somewhere, or memorize it if you can, then paste it into the links replacing the ###### symbols.
I know the contest is over, but I have an idea anyway! Take one of the crew, oh say, Ehren for example, and give him a parachute and place him about 40-50 ft in the air. Tell him that his mission is to jump, delpoy his chute and navigate over a pond to the other side. Except fill his chute with silverware wrapped in a blanket like in Looney Toons!! I couldn't draw a picture because I only have paint and it sucks. I'm sure you could tweek it and make it better, but I know if you guys did it yo...
I am coming up with a new pattern! I was working on a scrap afghan from a pattern, was inspired to make changes, I thought, "This stitch would be better and this multiple would be better," and am writing a whole new pattern! The inspiration is a pattern in the book, Great Big Crochet Afghan Book, by The Needlecraft Shop. The pattern is called I love Scraps. It looks like rows of hearts. The hearts will be changed to be more heart-like and they will be more dimensional. I'll also change it ...
If you have some worn scuffed wood and want to give it a little bit of life. These steps might help you to ebonise, taking half the time!!
Even if you never plan on visiting a golf course for the rest of your life, it's still a good idea to have a few golf tees lying around the house. You never know when you might need to replace a small cap, stake a picnic blanket to the ground on a windy day, and (assuming that they are clean and new) hold a thick sandwich together.
Boy oh boy. This tutorial is actually thoughtful. Most impressive is that it has that rare thing: common sense.
Winter weather always looks so pretty on postcards. A blanket of fluffy white snow, icicles hanging from the trees, little woodland creatures scampering about...it's like a picture straight out of a storybook. But in the real world, after a day or two it usually looks more like this: If you want the beauty of freshly fallen snow without dealing with any grey slush or shoveling, artificial snow (aka flocking) is the way to go—especially when it comes to decorating your tree. You can always buy...
Yes it’s the 21st century and yes, everyone’s busy, everyone’s connected. Accept it. Move on. Be happy.
Do you do last minute cramming before you go to the dentist? No, I don't mean reading up on orthodontia in hopes of having an intellectual conversation about crowns with your dentist (how you can talk at all with all those tools in your mouth is beyond me, though dentists always ridiculously try).
What happened to please and thank you? When did asking someone to come look at your build degenerate into COME NOW or FOLLOW or sending out teleport requests to any and all currently on the server without asking?
I know it seems a little redundant to post this when I've already posted a video, but it is kind of hard to get more than a vague idea from the video alone. I hope this sheds a little more light on the subject. I'm sure it also seems like I'm beating this idea to death, but this one concept opens doors to further innovation. After I finish this article, I'm going to put another one up that shows a hinged, raised bed house and talk about some amazing things you can do from there.
Their were many pedestrians in the scene as,they seen firefighters struggling with the horrifying disaster and they couldn't do much only continue to stare as bodies continued to drop..
