Sometimes ads are good for something. Such as documenting every single batmobile EVER, and publishing as a massive infographic. Comic book nerds, rejoice:
Really amazing. Click on it for the full resolution.
Ohio's hurtin' right now. After their heartfelt (kinda achingly pathetic, in fact) plea to the tune of M.J.'s "We Are the World", Lebron James turned his back on his home state, choosing Miami. If you missed their performance (including the mayor plus other local celebs), check it out.
In this tutorial, learn exactly how to create a cool color effect inspired by the movie, "Sin City". This funky comic book, cartoonish effect is quite easy to do using Sony Vegas and in this video you will get the coveted step by step. Create a "Sin City" color effect using Sony Vegas.
Hmm, what to do with all those old comic books lying around... How about a little Manga farming?
Thought I would share a pic of a little "clank" I made a few weeks ago. This one was inspired by the Girl Genius online comic. Repurposed out of a sugar bowl I found at Savers.
I just saw that the Rocketeer is being rebooted. It's visually one of my favorite movies and it really doesn't need to be rebooted. It's a great steampunk movie, but still not as good as the comics. The full article is here if you want to see. It's not very far along yet but I'm sure it will be bad.
Whether you're into cosplay or not, this life sized army "figurine" is awesome. The photo realistic plastic toy soldier was a contestant in a cosplay competition at Italy's Lucca Comics & Games 2008.
At WonderHowTo we've drowned and revived a fly, we've flown fly-powered aircrafts, and now we are inspired to make our own Dead-Fly-Art.
Hunkin's Experiments offers over 200 science experiments freely available in comic strip form. The experiments are organized in 18 different categories, covering a wide range from simple trickery to more technical experiments. The author, Tim Hunkin, is a trained engineer turned cartoonist, and also responsible for TV series/site The Secret Life of Machines (worth a look).
I loved The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay for so many reasons. For its fantastical sense of adventure, set against the real world action and tragedy of the Jews in Europe during World War Two. I loved the opening chapters of Josef in Prague – a city I spent several months in a few years ago and one of the most beautiful places I’ve been. Reading scenes set in Prague and descriptions of places I’ve seen made the story that much more personal for me.
Kiss Ass Game First Impressions Review of the game next week. Here are some quick impressions of the game and the first level
The Metal Gear series is pretty famous for being gonzo-meta with it's easter eggs and extras. Take this one for instance. To get the 'Hideo Kojima' achievement in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD, you have to recruit Hideo Kojima, the lead designer of the entire Metal Gear series.
Victor Zsasz is one seriously messed up dude. Since I don't read too many Batman comics, I'm not that familiar with the character. But after experiencing him in Batman: Arkham City, I'm ready to read up more about him.
It's perhaps every male Comic-Con geek's lecherous daydream: Pretty girls slathered in bodypaint, but not just any design or pattern. Superhero bodypaint—a crest of Superman slashed across the chest, a mysterious mask enclosing sultry eyes, a Spiderman hand clutching at… ugh, I just creeped myself out. I sound like I'm composing an Anaïs Nin novel for Marvel geeks. I'm going to stop now so you can scroll down and see for yourself.

How I miss home and the roasted pig my mom and dad prepared for my birthday last year.
Who is Lara Croft? Video game character. Comic strip hero. Action figure. Actress Angelina Jolie. All wonderful, yet all fictional. If you're looking for a flesh-and-blood archetype, try XtremeJenn, a Lara Croft cosplayer who's linked her real life "hobbies" to the world's beloved Tomb Raider. Found on Unreality Mag, this picture is the real thing. No green screen, no staging. XtremeJenn does everything a badass Tomb Raider should do: skydiving, base jumping, and some serious rock climbing.

You tell us. It's quite possible Christopher Nolan locked The Dream of a Lifetime into his memory bank, not knowing years later it would subconsciously shape Inception:
Here is the official trailer for the Movie "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World" Alternate Teaser Trailer here. Here are some movie clips from "Scott Pillgrim Vs The World"
Finally. A cross-over between Street Fighters and Tekken characters! It's actually two games, not just one. From the OP in the Neogaf Thread:
If you want Star Wars, look to the games and not the movies to satisfy your hunger. The original Force Unleashed was a great game and a surprise hit. Later next year another Star Wars MMO will debut from Bioware. Maybe the Star Wars novels are also a good source for Star Wars material, but that's a realm I know nothing about.
DC's highly anticipated new Justice League movie is opening tonight, and Google just pushed out a nice treat for Android fans heading out to the movie. Over on the official Android Twitter account, we found a few exclusive "Android x Justice League" wallpapers featuring our favorite bugdroid.
I love books almost as much for their book covers as I do their actual books. A well-designed book cover matches the intent and spirit of the story, and can often enhance the experience of reading it.
OK, so Halloween is over. However, I couldn't resist posting Michelle Phan's Sailor Moon/Manga makeup tutorial. Michelle makes incredible beauty tutorials (don't miss her Lady Gaga look!).
Before last Sunday I hadn't been to a proper game store since I was in middle school. Over ten years ago. If you decide to stop reading right now because I obviously don't care enough about MTG to be writing this thing, I don't blame you. But I tell you, friends, as someone who has denied the utter awesomeness of their hobby for too long, that going to Emerald Knights in Burbank made me feel at home. I want to tell you about it and explain why I will be back many times in the future.
The visual beauty of images on Google+ means that it's not just a great place for photographers to shine, but also serves as a befitting promotional space for web comic artists. Below, 7 talented individuals who have utilized the Google+ platform.
There's still about eight months before the final chapter in the Mass Effect series comes out, but some trigger happy fans are already building replica costumes and prop weapons to celebrate the upcoming release. BioWare themselves recently commissioned some of these projects, which were shown at their booth at Comic-Con 2011 a couple weeks ago in San Diego. One of these projects was the armor that turian Garrus Vakarian sports in Mass Effect 3, by Kommissar Props. But even more impressive wa...
In case you haven't noticed, I absolutely adore video games. Most of my friends don't, so to get my fix of knowledgable video game conversation I have turned to podcasts. They're free, they feature the smartest people in games journalism, and can be enjoyed while doing just about anything. Working. Walking the dog. Crying yourself to sleep. Whatever you're into.
Here I'm going to show you the most easiest and quickest way to make a cartoon from your photos. the photo can be anything, but must be well focused. so let's start with it.
Video games are one of the best non-medical things that have ever happened to sick children. They are stimulating, entertaining and require very little physical strength to play, which makes them perfect for those suffering physical maladies.
Have you ever created an effect in which your actor is throwing a fireball? Pretty cool effect, right? But something's wrong. It doesn't quite look real. In this video tutorial, Creative Cow Leader Elvis Deane demonstrates relighting an actor that's throwing a fireball which will add realism to the effect. Relight an actor in particleIllusion.

Gamers who haven't already gotten tickets to PAX Prime, there is sad news. Three-day passes for the event are officially sold out, three full months before it starts. That is a Coachella-like ticket sale speed for such a large event.
Nintendo's Wii Remote came close, but never has a video game peripheral garnered such adoration from the hacker community than the Kinect.
It looks like Sony is adding some cool features to their upcoming portable game system called NGP (Next Generation Portable).
