If you are a hunter, you will eventually need to know how to flesh a raccoon. Rickard Strongert explains that to hit impressive drives from a kneeling position, one must tee the ball higher than normal, kneel down, and spread your knees out wide. You also should hit at a steep angle and imagine you want to land the club head in front of the ball. Hit drives from a kneeling position.
Photoshop. It’s like a mountain to climb. You can chug up to the top, working hard, never letting up, or you can just go part way up and scoot around the side of the mountain and still get to the other side. Not everyone needs to be a Photoshop guru, or ninja pixel punisher. There are a few things to know and be comfortable with in order to do lots of cool things. Here are some tips that will take you a little way up the mountain, somewhat in order of altitude.
If you're into entomology, then you probably recognize the name E.L. Trouvelot. After all, he was the person responsible for the outbreak of invasive gypsy moths in North America, which are now one of the most destructive foliage-eating pests in the United States.

Flying orbs. At first, you might think of the Tall Man and his army of flying sentinel spheres, equipped with zombie brains and a mini-arsenal of saw blades, drill bits and shooting lasers. But these flying orbs weren't conceived from the evil mind of a superhuman mortician—they were designed by Fumiyuki Sato, a researcher at the Japanese Defense Ministry's Technical Research and Development Institute—for something other than deadly deeds.
How about a laser? One that is strong enough to nudge debris out of earth orbit. That's what NASA contractor James Mason wants to do, and his lab simulations suggest that the idea is possible. Mason wants to use a 5kW ground-based laser and a ground-based 1.5 meter telescope to spot potentially hazardous space waste and shove it off, by about 200 meters per day of lasering. It's kind-of like air traffic control for near earth orbit.
Remember Grandma-approved eco-friendly mud graffiti? London native Helen Nodding has taken a similar approach: non-destructive moss graffiti. Helen was inspired by the cold hard steel, glass, and concrete of the city:

An old blog that I hope to reincarnate in the near future...What do you think so far? (excuse the self promotion)

This is what happens when grad students start playing with PVC pipe. This stuff is really cool for prototype robotics applications. This article is a how-we-did-it as opposed to a how-to, but if you've got all of the crazy instrumentation and software that they do, you can start to play on levels that a lot of us (myself included) can't even imagine.
When I started reading this story, I never imagine that it would have a video game angle. It does. A heartwarming one at that. You KNOW CNN paid more than $250 for those photos. Enjoy your Playstation, Gustav.
I took this photo with my iPhone 3 camera as I was on my way to Oscar Wilde at Père Lachaise Cemetery. You can't tell from this black & white photo, but the woman on the far left had this wonderfully striking red hair, and a just as distinct style. You can slightly see the bowed corset in this picture. I imagined these women all being witches, meeting on this gloomy afternoon in Paris.
Imagine all the science fiction in the world laid out as a massive blobby whale like creature with tentacles. This infographic attempts to spawn the connections of each of these various sub-genres.
This is a trailer for an award winning swedish short, Las Palmas. If you can imagine being at a tropical bar and there is a lush in the corner having way too much to drink, but that rude obnoxious drunk is a 2 year old girl, this is the short for you.
Alex Lewis imagines what the world would look like infiltrated by video game characters in his digital montage series “Video Games vs. Real Life”. (P.S. If you like what you see, check out Lewis' t-shirt designs at Threadless).
Hard to imagine such a thing exists, but the US Pizza Team is a group of freestyle, acrobatic, dough-tossing pizza makers with truly unreal talent. They represent America in Italy's annual Olympics of Pizza. Below, Nino Coniglio, owner of Brooklyn's Pizzeria del Corso and team member, performs in front of restaurant patrons and it's pretty insane (to say the least). Previously, Poor Italians, Can't Afford a Frisbee.
Known for their amazing HD conversions and in depth behind the scenes, Criterion sets the standard for quality home video releases. They are very particular about the films they choose to give the "Criterion" treatment which makes this concept so hysterical. Imagine if Criterion actually released really bad movies... Here is the collection of those titles.
Artist Robert Wechsler has salvaged and reassembled 9 bicycles into a carousel arrangement. The best part about the project? Wechsler leaves his bicycle-go-round in public places for strangers to ride. Imagine stumbling across one of these in a public park! Genius.
Imagine the marriage of UFC and arm wrestling and you've got the exceedingly ridiculous sport of XARM. Seriously, this is an "official" sport with a league. The game works like this: the contenders' arms are taped together and the first to pin the other's arm or knock them out across the table wins.
Imagine you wanted to make LEGO art, and you chose to make a spooky, abandoned house, like something out of economically depressed Detroit.
Instead of dreaming imagine everyone is drunk. This inception parody takes us to altered states of consciousness induced by alcohol.
This fake car tent is perfect for camping anywhere you can park a car. I can't figure out if you can actually buy one but here's where I found the info about it.....Geekologie.com

In this Illustrator CS2 video tutorial you will learn to create and outline fonts. Create and outline fonts in Illustrator CS2.
Who doesn't love a good alliteration? These postcards were painted in Paris between 1899 and 1910 and were supposed to imagine what Paris would be like in the year 2000. I think they were all right on the money, don't you? I wish they had captions so that we could tell what each one is supposed to be. Some are so odd that I have no idea what's going on.
Plantable paper? America throws out 49 million tons of paper annually. That's almost a third of U.S trash!
Popping is a form of hip-hop. Imagine a dance that's part Mr Roboto, part pelvis spasm.
Imagine the river and all its nobleness until the Jetski rips into the frame. In the distance you see a line across the river. Instead of inspecting the line the rider (Robb-me) goes full throttle at the line ( bunji-cord) Then the rider stands up just in time to catch it on the ribs. Sending the rider flying into the air like a bottlerocket. Landing what ever way was intended by what ever god you choose, personally I am choosing Poseidon because he could release the cracken would'nt that be ...

Now imagine that you can push a button or say a word and now all the people around you become brunette. Then another setting makes everyone slightly shorter than you. All of this in realtime!
Imagine a Jackass movie with all girls in it. Let's show everyone how a girl can do everything these jackass stars can do. We'd just need to change it up a bit.
Revit Architecture 2009 is out and has some pretty cool new features. The first one David Fano talks about is Sweep Blend. Imagine taking the blend tool and combining it with the sweep tool. It’s pretty much just that. Like in the blend you pick to shapes “profiles” to blend between except now you can o it along a path. You could easily experiment with surface continuity by importing 3D curves from Rhino but for now this video covers the basics of how the sweep blend feature in Revit Architec...
This CAD software tutorial covers how to use reference lines to constrain or drive radial shapes in Revit Architecture. This can be tricky when using Reference plane but with a reference line it is quite easy. David doesn't get too much into adding parameters but one could imagine using a length parameter to drive the length of the reference line as well as the ellipse. Watch and learn how to model and control radial shapes with reference lines in Revit Architecture. Use reference lines to co...
