Quahogs (or guahaugs) are hard-shelled, edible clams found primarily on the east coast of North America. They're known generally as just clam in the United States. But how do you eat them? And what's the best way to eat them? What do you do with a bucket full of quahogs?
Thai street vendor food can be quiet inexpensive, not to mention absolutely delicious! But what is their secret to these sidewalk dishes? Here is a basic fried rice commonly made by street vendors and fine restaurants alike. It's best to use day-old rice that's been cooked and sitting at room temperature (just leave it in the rice cooker for best results). We add roasted chile paste which gives a perfect, authentic flavor which is just a tad spicy. Try making some Thai shrimp fried rice.

Yesterday, while sitting in first class on his American Airlines flight back to New York from LAX, a flight attendant "reamed" him off the plane for playing the popular Scrabble clone, Words with Friends, and not turning off his phone and obeying signs requiring seat beats. Apparently, the aircraft was still at the gate and unmoving. His tweet:
After a stressful day, there's nothing more relaxing than a smooth glass of straight, room temperature whiskey to help unwind. On hot days, popping a few rocks in does the trick. And on cold days, hot toddies are truly amazing.

Jim Lahey's no-knead pizza dough is more time consuming than Jamie Oliver's "cheat's pizza", but it's quicker and simpler than the more traditional dough recipes. The rise time is only two hours, and the kneading is minimal. I still prefer Jamie's pizza, but I sense this is because I haven't quite mastered Lahey's recipe yet.
Bourbon is the ultimate American spirit, considering the barrel-aged distilled spirit was originally produced in an area known as Bourbon County, Kentucky. To meet the legal definition of bourbon, it must be produced in the United States, must be created with at least 51% corn, and aged in new oak barrels.
