Get on top off a building with a jump off platform (put an inflatable cushion on the bottom of the drop)
My mom grows giant zucchinis. I'm not kidding when I tell you that one of them is about the size of one of my thighs. My sister came to visit, and dropped off a boatload of food, including two giant zucchinis. We grilled one up, but I've been pondering what to do with the other one. This zucchini cake looks perfect to me!
My idea is they get too big a balloon and fill with urine and poo and throw it at someone from atop a building.
My favorite kind of violence: flower bullets and drops of petal blood. The bad guys encroach on the scene in a hippie VW bus, and flower bedlam ensues...
Utterly mind blowing CC-licensed photography of the periodic elements by Wikipedia user alchemist-hp. Beautiful examples below, click through for the whole project (in German).

via WonderHowTo World, Cinematography: A friend of mine sent this site to me a year ago: Light Boner. And if it were updated more often, it'd be my home page. Designer/Developer Jarred Bishop curates this jaw-dropping collection of epic-light photos. Seriously, a lot of these photos look like stills from the most visually important films you've never seen. Here's a smattering:

I'm totally drooling over artist Azuma Makoto's insanely lush, decadent floral arrangement-sculptures. Drop. Dead. Beautiful.
BBC captured jaw-dropping HD super slow motion footage of surfer Dylan Longbottom in a 12 foot monster barrel.
Have an urge to handle a highly toxic snake? In this clip from the Discovery Channel series, "Hazard Pay," host Curt Doussett tries to handle a thirteen foot King Cobra snake named Elvis, and what happens next? He drops him. Maybe we should leave the snake handling to the professionals? Handle a king cobra.

Cirque Du Soleil look no further, Adam Menzies is your next act. This guy's trampoline skills are insane. My favorite part starts at 0:24. Speechless. Oh yeah. Almost forgot. Here Adam jumps up to the ceiling and does the splits. Previously, Cirque Du Soleil Trampoline Ninjas.
YouTube user Talapz has built a LEGO Pop-up Buddhist temple. Jaw dropping construction. Made from 4500 bricks, the structure is a representation of actual temple Kinkaku-ji (video below): Previously, Lego Mindstorms Puts the Fun Back Into Number Two.
The web's favorite robotics company, MIT's Boston Dynamics, never fails to instill truly animal-like qualities into its famed creations. We giggled (slightly guiltily) when poor Big Dog took a tumble on the ice. Now as we watch Little Dog climb, cautious as a puppy, and subsequently drop, exhausted, at the end of each run, we can't help but anthropomorphize Big Dog's counterpart. Previously, Robot Dog Prepares for World Domination.
Charlie's Angeles was full of great style, and few had more style than Farrah Fawcett. If you're looking to get that sweet, feathered hairstyle, than this video is just what you need. You'll go step by step through the process to and up with a fantastic finished result.
Who needs more storage space? We all do! You may have an untapped gold mine of storage space just over your head, but it is probably too impractical to access. Of course we are referring to your attic, which unfortunately has only a small access door through one of your closets. Every time you need to get into your attic you have to clear out the clothes in the closet and find a stepladder. Maybe it is time to consider a disappearing stairway and put the attic space to good use. (If your atti...
In this video, This Old House General Contractor Tom Silva demonstrates how to repair a basement wall leak around a drainpipe.

Collapse At Hand Ever since the beginning of the financial crisis and quantitative easing, the question has been before us: How can the Federal Reserve maintain zero interest rates for banks and negative real interest rates for savers and bond holders when the US government is adding $1.5 trillion to the national debt every year via its budget deficits? Not long ago the Fed announced that it was going to continue this policy for another 2 or 3 years. Indeed, the Fed is locked into the policy.
My name is Noah Hornberger. I'm a former Pixar artist (Wall-E, 2008) and Professor of Animation (DePaul University, Chicago), and I have recently invented a motion-activated musical toy called the Dub Cadet. One Substance TV blogger has called my light-up sphere that transforms motion into music, "Daft Punk [the electronic music duo] meets Simon [the handheld toy] in a ball."
Danish developer Playdead has made only one game, a little indie, side-scrolling, puzzle platformer called Limbo. It just happens to be far and away the best video game of that prominent genre (and perhaps the best indie game period) on the Xbox 360, and quite possibly for PlayStation 3 and PC, too. Critical and financial success has followed in droves, and today... Playdead has taken advantage of that success and indie-fied themselves even further by purchasing back the portion of the compan...
It's been a great year for video games, kind of. Sure, the AAA release lineup has been a trainwreck and hacking has been a bigger problem than ever. But two things have happened involving the federal government that have made video games more legitimate in the United States than ever before. The Supreme Court ruling establishing that video games were the equivalent of movies and books, not porn, was the more significant decision. But in May, the National Endowment for the Arts made another si...
Lady Gaga and Polaroid's upcoming Grey Label Camera Glasses can record video and snap pictures, but who really wants to show the world what they're up too on those mini LCD screens? It's nothing more than a fancy gimmick between a pop star and a failing company. Isn't the intention of camera glasses to capture things around you as they are? Drawing attention to yourself with clunky video-displaying eyewear kind of defeats the purpose, but that's why they're "fashion" glasses and not practical...
They've been at it for a few years now, but the crazy group of amateur rocket scientists who call themselves Copenhagen Suborbitals have triumphed over adversity, successfully launching their DIY rocket nearly 2 miles into the sky last Friday. The privately funded, non-profit aims to one day send human beings into suborbital space on the cheap, without the need of government budgets and administration.
It's typically not the kind of video game you would see on WonderHowTo. Instead, you'd learn about games with gruesome zombies or beer guzzling dwarfs, even a controversial, dystopian war. But Sissy's Magical Ponycorn Adventure deserves some serious praise.
Have you ever gone on a long internet binge, researching and surfing mindless things, and thought to yourself: I wish I could make some money surfing the internet and sharing the (sometimes useless) information I had just acquired? Well, now you can!
After getting slammed with a crazy-big earthquake/tsunami, the Japanese nuclear plant Fukushima Daiichi might be on the brink of meltdown. Not as bad as Chernobyl, but maybe as bad as Three Mile Island. Nobody wishes such a disaster on anyone...anywhere in the world. In the US, there are about 100 nuclear facilities, about 8 of which are located near hot beds of seismic activity.
On Thursday, March 9, there was a news story on the evening news about Khan Academy (NBC News). The story began when Sal Khan started tutoring his cousin in 2004. Since he was in Boston and she was in a different city, he decided to make and post videos on YouTube so anyone could watch the videos. Later he added videos for her brothers and for people that contacted him with requests for other videos. During this time Sal had a job that he later replaced with another job. Today Sal has 2010 vi...
As a USC student with limited funds, I'm always trying to figure out how to make the most out of my night when I go out. LA is great because there is so much going on for little to no cash if you know where to look. Echo Park/Silver Lake definitely has the most options, see below for my breakdown.
Alice Waters and The Green Kitchen So what, yes I admit it I am drawn to all things Alice Waters. So sautee me. A new discovery was made today while walking through my local bookstore. I found a sweet looking cookbook with Alice on the cover. Naturally I stopped. The item of my interest was a sort of "how to" cookbook called In The Green Kitchen

Laser gun + killing mosquitoes = lots of little boy fun, but what's it all about? Quite possibly the most entertaining, thrilling, and well, downright life-saving presentation at this year's TED conference was Intellectual Ventures' mosquito death ray.
