hi everyone, i have been teaching myself to crochet for a while now but when i come accros something i dont understand i get discouraged...im using a book n it says that this is an easy pattern. it tells meat the end of a row to miss a ch and turn...im doing this and my work is getting smaller and smaller like a pyramid...pls help me and tell me what i am doing wrong...thank u and i have learn alot from this site.
I was big into comic books when I was younger. I'd even create my own, though my drawing skills were not as good as the greats, such as Kirby or McFarlane. Hell, I still even have a couple DC and Marvel comics laying around somewhere, though I'm more likely to go watch a comic-based movie than buy an actual comic book. Imatfaal's awesome post on Escher's tessellations on Polyhedra reminded me of some ornaments I made this summer. I made some of Escher's square tessellations onto cubes and then reprojected them onto spheres. I actually used a 60 sided Deltoidal hexecontahedron since that net is fairly easy to fold and looks pretty round.
I spent a little bit more time making 6 sided Kirigami Snowflakes using the method of this post. I'm really happy with how all of these turned out. I'd love to see other people post up some snowflakes. They're easy and a lot of fun. And I could use some more inspiration!
