Recently, researcher Silvia Bello found human skulls with the top cut off laying in Gough's Cave, England. Skillful cut marks make it look like fellow humans scraped off the dead skin to clean the bone, and chips around the rim of the skull cup make it look like the edges were evened out for a better drinking experience. Researchers have found other skull cups in France and Germany, but ...

Popular in Mississippi, Kool-Aid drenched pickles are a popular treat coined Koolickles. Sound unappetizing? Don't knock it 'til you try it. The New York Times reports, "[Koolickles] have an arresting color that combines green and garnet, and a bracing sour-sweet taste that they owe to a long marinade in cherry or tropical fruit or strawberry Kool-Aid."

There are other tenderizers on the market, but this one is better made and uses higher quality materials than most. High quality stainless steel blades in a sturdy plastic case that is machine washab...
I suppose it's possible that peas in a pop could be surprisingly delicious, but I'm leaning towards unappetizing. Via baby food recipe blog Weelicious:
If you fancy yourself a nomad, check out Walking House, a mobile and modular dwelling system that is pneumatically powered, all-terrain ready. The vehicle-home crawls along at a snail's pace of 60 meters per hour, which equates to less than 1/2 a mile per hour. Akin in concept to the rolling house-on-the-go (except in the way cooler insect-like robot form), Walking House also boasts some cool eco-friendly features:

Alright, this one is for Preston. Go to a ghettofab grocery store and ride one of those fat carts around in a bathrobe slightly ajar. You must wear really thick bi-focals so nobody will notice you and have a fake beard complete with flip-flops. As you walk through the store just start picking up random-ass food taking bites out of whatever you choose, and put it back on the shelf. Go around the store doing this ignoring anyone who tries to stop you. Go to the chip aisle, grab some ice cream, ...

Perhaps given the fact that a majority (73%) of the US population is now obese, we should think about ways to shrink ourselves. Think if everyone was shrunk down to a quarter of their normal size how much longer all the resources would last. Well, before we have the technology to do that, Artist Stéphanie Kilgast has spent the last 24 years miniaturizing food.
Recently nauseated by toastykitten's post on Fish and Chips ice-cream (via WonderHowTo World, CAKES! CAKES! CAKES!), I was equally grossed out by toastykitten's additional find on the same topic.

I don't know about you, but my mom was planting food in her yard long before it was ever considered "cool" or "progressive". We had scallions, plums, apples, pomegranates, melons and zucchinis in our yard. It was part of our sustenance, and at no point was it ever considered a luxury. It was just something we did to supplement our groceries because it was practical.
