When Cerek mentioned astronomy-inspired artwork in his Astronomy World introduction post, I immediately thought of Russell Crotty. Crotty is a California artist who creates beautiful sculptures and drawings inspired by astronomy, landscape, and surfing.
After Cory Poole posted some great Escher snowflakes, and Cerek Tunca had the great idea of using it as a base for a tetrahedron, well, I just had to give it a go. I will post a few more pictures and variants later (I think this was what Cerek was envisaging—if not let me know!)
Now, myself and Minecraft World admin Jon Hook began brainstorming for the texture pack (which I will gladly create for all of you) but then I quickly remembered, this World isn't all about me, it's about all of you guys, too. So, I would like to hear your thoughts on what time period should dominate the texture pack.

I think this would count as a pet, right? Well, everybody was doing either cats or dogs (with the occasional goat), so I decided to take a picture of something different. This is Pandora, my horse. When you're giving her a bath, she hates when you get her head wet. You can see the water in the lower left corner. I'm not sure if this is supposed to be intimidating or what, but to me it's hilarious! The picture was hard to take, though, because I had to hold the camera and spray water at her.
I decided I would make those earrings I alluded to in Monday's Post on orderly tangles. I had to shrink the templates down so that the triangles are about 2 cm on a side. I used 110 lb cardstock and and painted them using metallic leafing paint in gold, silver, copper, and brass. I would put up a tutorial, except I think that this project would be too frustrating for most people. Any daredevils out there? This one is for you. The 'Almost Flying' achievement in Assassin's Creed: Revelations looks absolutely awesome to try. You'll have to parachute from the top of the Galata Tower (which I think is the highest point in the game), and fly all the way to the golden horn.

The guys over at Achievement Hunter have a really great compilation of Modern Warfare 3 achievement guides. I mean, why else would we showcase them here? This one is for 'Danger Close' on the "Bag and Drag" level, and will net you a cool 20G, or a bronze trophy if you're on PlayStation 3. Since the final 1.8 update, players go hungry over time if they don't replenish themselves. Hunger is also determined by the level of activity, meaning the more you run about or kill monsters, the hungrier your character becomes.
I have a few pictures, but the first is my entry. I thought the sweat fly was pretty cool. I don't understand why they named it such an ugly name for such a beautiful bug (not that the Luna Moth isn't). The pictures are more zoomed out progressively so I can see how close I can get to the moth before it flies off. Actually, it didn't fly off. I got to put my hand next to it- it had a 6 inch wingspan!
I'm new here, but wanted to add formufit to the list of links on your cork board. They are solely sellers of structural PVC items, used to build greenhouses and such. I am currently building some outdoor PVC furniture as the weather here in Missouri has destroyed our previous 'durable store bought' furniture. So...I really liked the original Fast and the Furious movie, because I think Vin Diesel is awesome. (How could the voice of the Iron Giant not be?) But I hated the subsequent sequels, because he wasn't in them. But in this latest version, Fast Five, Vin Diesel is back! In my earlier post about long-term strategies I promised I’d ask some of my neighbors who do what I call factory chicken farming (Let 1000 Chickens Bloom) if the coyotes that have shown up will change the way they play the game.
