Players have been soaring through the skies in the popular Ace Combat series of games for a long time. The latest title, Ace Combat: Assault Horizon comes complete with several different unlockable trophies and achievements including the incredibly impressive, "Checking In." The achievement will require you to fly through a hotel in order to unlock it.
Mind control is always awesome, and it's even more awesome when you can use it to unlock achievements. Take the 'Hat Trick' achievement, for example. In Rage, if you manage to kill three enemies using just one mind controlled enemy, you'll unlock 'Hat Trick' on the Xbox 360 version of the game.
The 'It's Good!' achievement and trophy available on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Rage is obtained while driving the ATV in the game. You will need to jump through 3 different posts located at the Ark Emergence site, the Bash TV station, and the Northern Watch tower. This video tutorial will show you where to find all of them.
If you're playing Rage on the Xbox 360, you'll find that your sentry bot is very helpful. For example, if you want to unlock the 'Passive Aggressive' achievement, you can head into the mutant game show and activate your bot. If it gets three kills, you'll get the achievement. Just make sure it doesn't die!
SSH is what is referred to as the Secure SHell protocol. SSH allows you to do a plethora of great things over a network, all while being heavily encrypted. You can make a remote accessible shell on your home computer that gives you access to all your files at home, and you can even tunnel all of your traffic to keep you anonymous and protected on public Wi-Fi. It has many great uses and is a must have tool for your arsenal. It was designed to replace the insecure Telnet protocol, which sends ...

There wasn't a lot of huge news for Indie Games Ichiban to come out of TGS last weekend, but this is a whopper: Level-5 and Studio Ghibli's epic RPG Ni No Kuni is officially coming to America next year. No word on the 3DS version, but the PS3 one will be released in 2012 in North America in English, according to a press conference by principal developer Level-5.
What are the odds of drawing the same seven letters, e.g. JANITOR, twice during a lifetime of playing Scrabble—in two separate games. Michael Thelen, who runs Zyzzyva, breaks down the numbers.
When I started reading this story, I never imagine that it would have a video game angle. It does. A heartwarming one at that. You KNOW CNN paid more than $250 for those photos. Enjoy your Playstation, Gustav.
Hans Lemurson's "Minecraft in Minecraft" Redstone machine: "a small 2D Platformer type game where you can move around and modify the terrain. It's not truly Minecraft, but it's about as close as you can come with Redstone".
This is the best game related short I've ever seen. Everything is so well done it's hard to believe it's not a major motion picture.
Here we can see the first released image of a game-generated river! It's a safe bet at the moment that it will face similar height restrictions as default water generation, but that may change in time - after all, we already have legitimately generated "waterfalls"!
Anne Hathaway appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart to promote her new movie, One Day. But before that, she proclaimed herself a Scrabble fiend. She likes to play the board game with family and friends, as well as local play on the iPhone and solo play against her computer. And Jon reveals his son's strategy for using "Best Word" on EA's Scrabble version (something I'm not to keen on)...
Suda51's next game. Think of it as Buffy, but with chainsaws and zombies.
There are a lot of horse racing games in japan, you see them in arcades all the time. This is.. well I can't really describe it because it's so stupid! My favorite is Chokusen Banchou, when he pulled out that Enka trailer I totally lost it. Want more laughs? Youtube Japan World Cup and have fun!
This is my first game using the Lazy Brain method, I have to say, it ain’t bad at all. The graphics are sweet and the gameplay is something farmiliar with a few of my own twists. Also features an online highscore board.
This Blender graphic shows my idea of an Egyptian style Scrabble board, inspired by the ancient board game Senet. It features the Nefertiti (Latin) font, so you don't have to read hieroglyphs to make words. Sony was nice enough to send Square-Enix (Squenix?) this delicious-looking cake in honor of the Final Fantasy series reaching 100 million total sales. It features a proud frosting Chocobo and a congratulatory message.
I am more excited for this indie gem from Supergiant games than I am for any other 2011 release. The gameplay, visual style, music, and unique narration all look focused and stimulating.
Sabrepulse is a UK DJ who uses a laptop and an original Game Boy to make beautiful electronic music.
