Congratulations to Eline Art for "Puddle Reflection", the winning photo for this past week's Phone Snap Challenge!
I don't have a cool cell phone to use apps to filter my pictures. I think that the pictures taken with apps can look really cool though. I think someone should make an app that does what I did in Photoshop to the following photos. My wife calls it blueprint style.

Gears of War fans around the world are excited (possibly drooling) over the upcoming release of the third installment in the series, Gears of War 3. There's a lot of hype about the game and its new features, which includes a 4-player co-op mode and a slew of new female characters. But there's one problem—it doesn't come out until September 20th. But for a lucky circle of gamers, the Multiplayer Beta just opened up today.

Inspired by the vast and exotic geography of Iceland, Canadian-Hungarian artist Eszter Burghardt uses food and wool to reconstruct her memory of the landscape. The series, "Edible Vistas and Wooly Sagas", is molded from "poppy seeds, coco powder, coffee, milk, and chocolate cake crumbs" and Icelandic wool—there are endless herds of native sheep wandering the countryside. She then captured the dioramas with a macro lens.
Dress weeman up in a baby costume, put him in a buggy, and dress somebody up as an old lady ( maybe Spike? ) Walk around the town doing with the old lady having terrible accidents with the baby such as letting go of the buggy down a hill, smashing the buggy into certain things, falling on the curb etc. It could be called " Grandma and Baby " as opposed to " Daddy and Baby ". Also, as the baby is weeman, when people try to stroke the " baby " He says things like " do not fu*king touch me lady!...
Cyrus comes out tomorrow, having wowed people at Sundance and at SXSW where the directors, the Duplass brothers, had earlier success with their mumblecore feature The Puffy Chair. It's very funny, and very well made and it should be of particular interest to lo/no-budg filmmaking dudes and dudettes because it is literally the model of what can be done with talent and hard work.
Lots of people attempt coasters in this way. But this is the first one I have ever found that seems to really work and is truly COASTER LIKE.
If you're in New York, you absolutely cannot miss this beautiful exhibit at the New York Botanical Gardens. Emily Dickinson, the famed reclusive poet of the 19th century, was a lover of nature, and her garden was recreated in the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory. What can I say, except that it's just stunning...
The bunny goes over the hill, down the slope, and through the hole...no matter how you taught yourself to tie your shoes, the skill cannot be taught using a one-method-fits-all scheme. In fact, most adults tie their shoelaces using one of several different methods.
Wax paper, a moisture-proof paper commonly used in the kitchen to keep food from sticking, can also be used to preserve maple leaves, keep bathroom fixtures spotless, line your refrigerator bins, funnel spices into small spice containers, and make re-corking unfinished wine bottles a cinch.
Around the world, creepy crawlers make a tasty snack. Here's a sampling of international insect-fare.
Scotland's Danny MacAskill first came to the world's attention in April 2009 when his roommate uploaded a video of his insane mountain bike stunts. The video amassed more than 350,000 views in the first forty hours it was uploaded.

Ever since Stacy Peralta and the Z Boys brought surfing out of the sea, skateboarding has been confined to its rigid four wheels.
I think Preston should race down a steep hill on a big wheel made for a little kid! He can only wear underware and he has to be sitting! The wheels will rub against his skin causing a really bad burn! At the end of the hill he will crash into a big pit of shit!!!!
Looking back on Alan Wake, more than a year and a half after its release, it's still one of my favorite games. The graphics and ambience have held up well in comparison to any other story driven game, and it's still the best third-person horror game out there, in terms of gameplay. Given how few horror games are actually out there this generation, I would definitely recommend giving this game a try since it's dirt cheap to rent or buy.
The whole crew goes to a fancy Beverly Hills Restaurant dressed as a group of "Beverly Hillbillies" and cause a scene in front of all the customers. They should put the reservation under Hill Williams aka "Hill Billies". they need to be extremely loud and obnoxious and ask to order ridiculous redneck foods like squirel on a stick or roadkill special. Someone should bring a chicken with them and tell the waiter to tell the chef to kill and cook this one.
Get a Big metal ball (the kind of ball motocycle ride in it in circuses) put some cameras in it and some jackass dudes inside the ball (Chris pontius , Dave England, Preston Lacy, Ehren McGhehey) Next make big styrofoam bowling pins that people can stand on (dudes in pic.)find a big hill and bowl away..
The idea is to find the biggest hill you can with a massive jump at the end. Then bomb the hill, taking flight and landing in prickle bush. The bike can't have any breaks.
The figure of eight is commonly used to attach a rope to a climbing harness. Being able to tie a figure of eight knot properly is an essential climbing skill. If the climbing rope is attached incorrectly to the harness, the consequences could be fatal.
Last weekend we had a fun workshop (not the redstone workshop from yesterday) in which a bunch of people got together and built mountains! Well, small mountains, at least. The workshop was only an hour, after all.

Back in 1962, a Zambian teacher vowed that his country would beat America as the first country to put a man on the moon, and then they would go on to Mars. Unfortunately, his dream never came to fruition. The Zambians worked hard though. His "astronauts" rolled down hills in barrels to get used to traveling through space. They practiced walking on their hands, as their leader - Edward Makuka Nkoloso - assured them that was the only way to get around on the moon. "My spacemen are ready, but we...
In just a few days, the biggest expo in the video game industry will unleash the newest games and hardware from all of the major companies. Nintendo is set to unveil its Wii-replacing Project Café and Konami will showcase its upcoming lineup, including new Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid games. My friend started a minecraft world yesterday (The World in the Air, Seed -1784338777788894343) As anyone would do, he punched trees, then made a little "house" to wait out the night. As any minecrafter WOULDN'T do, he went outside. In the dark. At night. Luckily he wasn't full of holes by the time he went back inside his "house".

Think you're more green by going artificial? Think again. The New York Times reports that the most definitive study shows you would have to use your artificial tree for 20 years before it has less impact on the environment than a real tree.
