There are two pictures mixed into a double exposure : a long exposure light painting picture of 2012 and a picture taken exactly at 12:00 of someone pouring champagne.
Nostalgia to me is watching "A Charlie Brown Christmas" with my Mom. RIP Mom! miss you!
For this double exposure I used Hipstamatic, Dynamic light, Camera+, and Finally BlendCam for the iPhone.
Taken with Samsung Epic 4G Touch (Galaxy S II) used Little Photo to "Double Expose". I used to do this for real with an old camera on Black & White Film this is so much easier :-)
I took this photo of a dried hydrangia with a blooming cherry tree several yards behind it. The light was just right for the pink of the cherry blooms, a touch of green from the new leaves and the blue of the sky to give a nice Bokeh effect backing for the brown of the dried hydrangia bloom! Photo taken with a Nikon D-60.

This is more of an op-ed piece that is only loosely tied to this world in the sense that what he built involved PVC. What I like about it is it sheds light on what I call the New Poverty. That is, the fact that the plastic and fully automatic world of developed nations impoverishes our creative spirit. It impoverishes the human spirit in a way that you find the New Wealth in places like drought starved Africa.

EL Wire is a bit tricky if all you want to do is glow. But there's a lot to know about the technology, as well as helpful information to get you addicted to it. EL Wire is a thin copper wire that gives off a beautiful glow when an electric charge is applied. There are 10 colors of EL Wire, and each wire has it's own unique characteristics. Typically EL Wire is used for safety as well as costuming. It has such a low power point that it can run off as little as watch batteries to make it glow!
