Players have been soaring through the skies in the popular Ace Combat series of games for a long time. The latest title, Ace Combat: Assault Horizon comes complete with several different unlockable trophies and achievements including the incredibly impressive, "Checking In." The achievement will require you to fly through a hotel in order to unlock it.
Minecraft mods (modifications) are additions to the game that change the way you play. They include texture packs, shaders, changes in gameplay, additions and subtractions and everything in between. Some of this information is very basic, other bits might help you along if you've been stuck. We'll start with the simple stuff.

Mind control is always awesome, and it's even more awesome when you can use it to unlock achievements. Take the 'Hat Trick' achievement, for example. In Rage, if you manage to kill three enemies using just one mind controlled enemy, you'll unlock 'Hat Trick' on the Xbox 360 version of the game.
The 'It's Good!' achievement and trophy available on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Rage is obtained while driving the ATV in the game. You will need to jump through 3 different posts located at the Ark Emergence site, the Bash TV station, and the Northern Watch tower. This video tutorial will show you where to find all of them.
If you're playing Rage on the Xbox 360, you'll find that your sentry bot is very helpful. For example, if you want to unlock the 'Passive Aggressive' achievement, you can head into the mutant game show and activate your bot. If it gets three kills, you'll get the achievement. Just make sure it doesn't die!

Foldit is definitely a niche game. The sole gameplay mechanic is attempting to fold complex proteins into smaller and more efficient shapes following the rules of molecular physics and biology. Points are awarded based on how small one can make the protein. Online leaderboards track players' relative progress and allows them to view and manipulate other players' completed designs. It's original, certainly, but no developer is going to ship a million units of a game about molecular-level prote...
There wasn't a lot of huge news for Indie Games Ichiban to come out of TGS last weekend, but this is a whopper: Level-5 and Studio Ghibli's epic RPG Ni No Kuni is officially coming to America next year. No word on the 3DS version, but the PS3 one will be released in 2012 in North America in English, according to a press conference by principal developer Level-5.

There are two types of Scrabble players in the world—those who enjoy it and those who love it. I definitely fall into the latter category. Unfortunately, most of my friends don't. I'm lucky to have a few who simply enjoy it from time to time—some are even standing on the edge of Scrabble geekdom, afraid to take that last step. Maybe someday.

This is my first game using the Lazy Brain method, I have to say, it ain’t bad at all. The graphics are sweet and the gameplay is something farmiliar with a few of my own twists. Also features an online highscore board.
This Blender graphic shows my idea of an Egyptian style Scrabble board, inspired by the ancient board game Senet. It features the Nefertiti (Latin) font, so you don't have to read hieroglyphs to make words. The white hieroglyphs on the black granite tiles was inspired by inscriptions on Egyptian statuary of the same material.

Minecraft is the most basic and barren open sandbox building game. There are a limited number of materials and recipes to craft. But with these few building blocks, people have been able to creatively build some amazing structures and cities. There is a physical limitation, but the beauty of the game is turning that limitation into a strength.
I am more excited for this indie gem from Supergiant games than I am for any other 2011 release. The gameplay, visual style, music, and unique narration all look focused and stimulating.
