After about 3 weeks of working on it, I finally finished my Cookie Clicker! It's a concept that has been done before by sethbling and others, but I wanted to try and make something closer to the original since one of my subscribers asked me to. I think I delivered! Check my website for a download link (linked)
This is a cool little trap that me and some friends came up with while messing around with TNT and redstone on a big platform in the sky. The reason we called it the 'Roof Lever Trap' is because it utilizes the ability to place levers on the bottom side of blocks, which was introduced in Minecraft 1.3.1.
Okay, it's not actually cake-powered, but it does use cake! Owing to the fact that cake and trapdoors are less than half a block tall, we can use fenceposts (which are a block and a half tall) attached to pistons to push people along, because the tops of the fenceposts will invisibly pop up through cake and trapdoors.
First of all, this was not invented by me. I state this clearly and the link for the original discussion is located below. I made this video, as the original author did not do so, in an attempt to raise awareness as to the awesome concept that it is.
So, here we are with the second part to whats going to happen to Minecraft in 1.7 (you can see the first part here). Let's start off with the new biomes.
Getting two sticky-pistons to pull eachother, a piston-train, isn't anything new but the pistons and their timing in 1.3 are and there has been alot of QQ-ing on the Minecraft-forums about how bad they are and that Jeb should bring back the old pistons we all know. I, for one, not only welcome out new 1.3-pistons but have also made a small mini-game out of them. A two-player tug-o-war. The players stand on the diamond or emerald area and press a button to make the piston-train take one step t...
What's nice about Minecraft 1.3 is that it makes minecart stations so simple. Before, you needed redstone and buttons and powered rails in order to make a good minecart station. Now you hardly need anything at all! That said, if you want to be snazzy, all of the minecart stations we covered in this earlier article are still completely functional. You may also want to check out this article on how to make empty minecarts come back to you, if you want some extra bells and whistles.
As I said before in my earlier post on how to make a two-tone doorbell, sound is more than just music. Note blocks can create a wide variety of notes and sounds, and those can be used for more than just making a stirring rendition of "Still Alive" from Portal.
Summer is over and autumn is here. Serotonin levels are dropping and people don't have the motivation to be outside as much anymore. So we play Minecraft instead. But walking is cumbersome, so we want minecarts. Remembering to carry one in your inventory or placing one on the tracks might be a bit much to ask for, and don't even get me started on bothering to press a button to make it go.
Combination locks in Minecraft can be really simple or frustratingly difficult, but no matter how complicated they are, some of them fall victim to the same simple exploits.
This is a pretty simple how-to, because a doorbell is a pretty simple mechanism! The difficult part is in understanding music note blocks.
Whaaaatsup guys, Uber here and today I bring you the second video in the BronzeSMP series! I hope you enjoy!
Hey guys, today I bring you the fabulous BronzeSMP Server series! I hope you guys will enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed making it!

In this video, I show you how to make a "cow furnace" that gives you leather and cooked steak without having to use up your resources.
The following tutorial gives you an inside look on how to construct an incredible looking SR-71, also known as a Blackbird. If an aerial vehicle aficionado, you've come to the right place! This build really is a force to be reckoned with...
In Minecraft, many people enjoy "Faction" aka "Raiding" multiplayer servers for their unique gameplay and survival aspect. Plus, it's always fun when you find a chest full of somebody else's free stuff.
Traps are great, but sometimes you don't want to kill anyone, you just want to know when they're around. When that's the case, check out this handy alarm system that uses the power of doors! Doors, you say? Yes, doors! Some of you may already be familiar with how obnoxious doors can be in Minecraft, but if not, check out this video of it in action:
Tripwires are a new mechanic released in Minecraft 1.3, and people are still trying to figure out how best to use them. Minecart returns are a great idea, but what about traps?
BUD (Block Update Detector) switches can essentially take the place of a regular switch like a lever or a button, but instead of having a "usable" function like pressing the button or flipping the lever, BUD switches trigger when a block next to a piston changes states.
The most complicated logic-gate to build in Minecraft is the XOR-gate. (Well, actually it is the XNOR but it is just a XOR with a NOT at the end.)
There are a number of different techniques for building underwater in Minecraft. The easiest is to fill a room with wood or leaves, then set them on fire. It'll burn down, leaving a pocket of air for you.
In this origami guide, you will learn how to fold a Creeper from just two sheets of paper. This model is easy and can be done in only ten minutes! This is what the origami Creeper looks like.
A continuation of my earlier science testing in Minecraft, I worked on a few things requested and retouched on TNT as there was suggestion of possible (and confirmed) altered circumstances.
A travelator, also known as a moving walkway or moving sidewalk, seems like a tricky thing to build in Minecraft, especially when it's zigzagging, but there are really simple autowalks out there (like this one).
I've had this idea in my head for almost a year now. I knew what I wanted to do, but wasn't sure if it would work. After a long time of armchair-engineering, I decided that the best way to test my idea was with a soldering iron and a screwdriver.
A minigame we built with redstone! Video: .
Hello everyone, this how-to is for all the people who love to make videos, but don't necessarily have the cash or willpower to shell out on an expensive mic., or simply are looking for an easier option.
I saw Maro post about a trap on YouTube today, so I thought I'd post one here that I just invented. Since we are friendly at WonderHowTo, the TNT has been replaced with a note block. Step 1: Bait
I should start off by saying that this technique is of no real practical value, because this process is far more time-consuming than simply just manually trimming trees to meet your specifications. That said, it's an awful lot of fun to play with!
So a little while ago we covered BUD switches, but there's only so much you can show in one tutorial.
This design is super simple and is the easiest invisible door that I've ever seen. Unlike designs that use horizontal pistons, the redstone here is completely hidden underground, and the door itself doesn't create an unsightly dip or gap in the wall.
Sometimes you just want to kill a whole bunch of things at once, or to paraphrase Samuel L. Jackson in Jackie Brown, sometimes you absolutely, positively got to kill every mob in the room. Well, the automatic machine gun is the way to do it; accept no substitutes!
Relays are simple redstone devices that allow you to switch between multiple outputs with only one input. They're incredibly useful in the right situation!
Sometimes the hardest part about getting your minecart rolling is the beginning takeoff. Have you ever started a minecart on a hill, and then tried to jump into it as it started moving, only to fail and watch it slowly dwindle into the distance?
Okay, you can't really become the king of the world by stacking three pistons. For that, you have to stack four pistons.
Notch posted the pre-release of Minecraft 1.8 before it got an official release. If you want to install Minecraft 1.8, take a look at this tutorial for instructions on adding the update to your Minecraft folder in Windows on your PC. You can download the pre-release on the Minecraft forums in this post.
The Minecraft 1.8 pre-release is out, and it's now possible to play Minecraft 1.8 beta on a Mac computer. Unfortunately, the installation process isn't very simple, so if you want to learn how to download and install the pre-release of 1.8 on your Mac, take a look at this tutorial.
The Millenaire mod allows you to have NPCs in your game while playing Minecraft. If you have Minecraft 1.8.1, you can also take a look at this guide on how to install the Millenaire mod so that you can interact with your own NPCs in Minecraft!
