This is obviously not a real promo for the Yogi Bear Movie, but amazing mashup of the Assassination of Jesse James and Yogi Bear. If you have never seen this movie, you must. It is amazing.
Here is the movie trailer for the feature film "The Tourist." Is it just me or does Johnny Depp look horrible in this film? He looks so puffy face like he is on steroids or something. Did he gain weight to intentionally look bad or have we seen him so much in costumes that we just don't recognize the TRUE JD. Here are 5 clips from the movie "The Tourist" featuring Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie.
Inject some Star Wars nerd into your holiday spirit: "My wife is a genius. She made these little beauties while making paper snowflakes with the kids. She saw our son Ethan making one that somewhat looked like a Storm Trooper. She then ran with the idea and made these masterpieces."

Though photographer Mark Mawson's concept is simple, the results are stunning. In a series entitled Aqueous I and Aqueous II, Mawson took photographs of wet paint dispersed in water. The images evoke jellyfish, or rainbow colored hydrogen bombs. Mawson says:"I had seen lots of ink in water shots and wanted to try something which had more body and which produced more organic forms."

Darth Vader guides us through a 42-movement Tai Chi sword form (or rather light saber form) in this CGI video created by John Leo.
This is a fantastic interview with Harris Savides ASC. He really hammers home the primacy of the script and the subservience of the photography to the script. Perfect articulation of what cinematography ought to be.
A match between Arew vs NTT ( pronounces Entity, get it? //rolls eyes) goes into bizzaro world very quickly as the two sides make the weirdest choice. First time I've seen it in a match. Watching the first four minutes is enough, the rest turns into a standard match.
Join in on the light-writing magic! Flickr user evilKitchen demonstrates how to build a switchable, spinnable multicolor LED bundle for making graffiti orbs of light (as seen previously in Wonderment).
I wish this site wasn't so full of Flash annoyances. This new whisky is actually a triple-malt that's aged in Bourbon casks. It's made for cocktails. Sounds pretty cool, doesn't it? Anyone seen it or give it a try? What do you think of it?
Flickr user Urtica finds bugs in her yard everyday. Love some of these pics! But I would probably run screaming if I saw most of them. Via MetaFilter.
Very cool video by Eurogamer showing the game world's 24 hour period in seconds. If you've only seen screenshots of the game it's hard to grasp just how beautiful the game is in motion.
Here is the official trailer for the Movie "Let Me In" directed by the same dude that did Cloverfield Matt Reeves. This however is not an original movie, its a remake of a great foreign film called "Let the Right One In".

The effect was was possible by filming live footage of a background then filming two images of me against a green background then placing me in front of the background footage using editing software.
Just saw this movie last night and it was amazing. I highly recommend it, the trailer doesn't do the film justice.
This trailer I just saw last night before "The Secrets in their eyes" I think this trailer is really well done, I can't wait to see this movie.
This is enough to give you butterflies and to make you feel all tingly inside. It's one of the best sites on abandoned buildings I have ever seen, visually speaking.
via WonderHowTo World, Cinematography: A friend of mine sent this site to me a year ago: Light Boner. And if it were updated more often, it'd be my home page. Designer/Developer Jarred Bishop curates this jaw-dropping collection of epic-light photos. Seriously, a lot of these photos look like stills from the most visually important films you've never seen. Here's a smattering:
This is a great piece and haven't seen anyone else raise the issue. A few facts: 450,000 fans are expected to travel to South Africa for the World Cup.
This is a snapshot of the 1700 kilometre journey up most of the length of the Province of Manitoba by VIA Rail train from Winnipeg to Churchill - an arctic city on Hudson Bay. Filmed by Bea Broda, the trip takes place at the height of summer. While most travelers that are curious to experience polar bear sightings visit during the autumn season, there are also many to be seen in the summer months.

E3 is around the corner and new game information is being leaked or revealed everywhere. Deus Ex was a huge hit a long time ago. Think Bladerunner. The trailer actually looks amazing and it's obviously all cgi. I've seen actual in game screen shots, and it looks ok. I'll wait till the gameplay videos come out before making any judgements.
I remember these from the election, but never saw a game related one till now.
