After 98 days of beta testing, Apple released its iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 software. These updates are packed with new features and big changes for Home Screen, Control Center, Messages, Siri, Mail, and so much more. How To: The Simple Way to Enable Caps Lock on Your iPhone

When you need to type in all caps on a computer, you just press the "caps lock" key. But no such key seems to exist on iOS. The "shift" key appears to work at first but will deactivate once you type one capital letter. Holding down the shift key while you type gets the job done, but it's a pain. While it might not be obvious, enabling caps lock is actually really simple.

How To: See if Your Phone Has A/B Partitions for Seamless Updates

If your phone has an A/B partition layout, there are two virtual hard drives that each contain a copy of Android. After every restart, it picks a partition to boot from, then the other lays idle. The idle partition can be overwritten with a new copy of the OS and it won't affect the active one. So the next time you reboot, it just switches partitions and it's as if you updated instantly.

Apple will also release the official version of iOS 13 to coincide with the iPhone XI. Before then, however, iOS 13 needs beta testing, and developer beta 6 just hit on August 7.

How To: Schedule Night Mode to Kick in Automatically on Your Galaxy

Samsung may have beaten Apple to the punch in introducing a system-wide dark theme with One UI, but they left out the ability to schedule night mode to kick in automatically. It's nothing that a little update can't fix, however, and that's exactly what Samsung just did to remedy this issue.

How To: Enable ARCore on Any Android Phone

When it comes to augmented reality (AR) on Android, you might be wondering how you can get those cool new games and apps on your unsupported phone. Google has an officially supported device list for its ARCore platform, which usually consists of the more modern devices. You won't find very many older devices on the list for a reason, but that doesn't mean your "old" phone can't use ARCore still.

News: Apple Just Released iOS 12.3.2 with Fix for Portrait Mode on iPhone 8 Plus

If you're noticing issues with Portrait Mode on your iPhone 8 Plus, you aren't alone. Apple confirmed the problem by introducing a new software update Monday, June 10, 17 days after the release iOS 12.3.1, and exactly four weeks after iOS 12.3. The update, iOS 12.3.2, is available only for the iPhone 8 Plus and not other iPhone models, so every other device will still be on iOS 12.3.1 for now.
