Andrew Odewahn of O'Reilly Answers posts a HowTo on creating 3D(ish) images through simple processing. Odewahn employs the practice of stereoscopy (a technique for creating the illusion of depth in a 2D image):
Make your own 3D movie with this easy camera hack: record with two cameras simultaneously. Next, use video software to overlap the images, making it viewable through 3D glasses. Very clever (and cheap) concept by Ron and AmyJo Proctor. Check out their site for more details.
The best knot for you is any good knot that you can tie quickly and strongly. So wouldn't it be great if you could tie all three connections with the same motion and if that motion were based on the first and simplest knot you learned as a child--the overhand knot? It turns out that by using the uni knot and its twin, the surgeon's knot, you can do just that. Though the uni knot is not as strong as many other knots, it is stronger than the improved clinch, and its simplicity may make up for w...
Connecting a fragile tippet to the leader can be frustrating and time consuming. Dr. Mark Lamos has a quick method that delivers a connection as strong as a blood knot. With practice, you'll be able to make this connection in less than a minute. Tie a hemostat blood knot when fly fishing.
One of the most frustrating things about trout fishing is trying to quickly tie on a tiny fly when your eyesight or the light is failing. The Hemostat Quick Clinch is not as strong as some other knots. But one of my friends, Dr. Mark Lamos, uses this knot successfully and lands some very large trout with it. Unlike the clinch or improved clinch, you waste very little material tying this knot. Tie a hemostat quick clinch knot when fly fishing.
Halloween is one of those things that always seems to sneak up on you before you're prepared, so if you don't have tons of free time to make your own kickass costume, you might have to throw together something a little more last minute.
Turning your abode into a haunted house of horror for Halloween takes a lot of time and work. Finding ways to build props on your own can save you some money that's better spent elsewhere.
The TED website offers hours and hours of amazing streaming videos, with subjects including why videos go viral and sixth sense technology. With so much great content, it make sense that you'd want to save some of it to your computer, perhaps for a long plane flight or bus ride home. Unfortunately, because TED uses a proprietary video player, you can't use the normal stream downloading sites that you would for, say, YouTube. Luckily, there's a way around that.
Uh oh. Somebody screwed up big this time. It has recently been reported that Iraqi insurgents have used $26 software to intercept live video feeds from U.S. drones located in Middle East conflict zones. The drone (a remotely piloted aircraft) is considered one of the U.S. military's most sophisticated weapons. Apparently not sophisticated enough, however.
Stuck behind bars? Held hostage by a guy with a flamethrower? Thanks to the wise and resourceful 80s secret agent MacGyver, these problems can be resolved by a car battery, two coins and some jumper cable.
"The Christmas Song" is the Christmas song of all songs, but many know this holiday favorite under a different name— "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire". It may not be as old as other Christmastime favorites, like "Jingle Bells" or "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer", but thanks to Mel Tormé and Bob Wells, it's now a quintessential Xmas song, even for ukulele players.
Sink your teeth into some dry-cured ham— prosciutto. But that's not all— this prosciutto is just the outer layer of some delicious tuna with queso fresco and basil stuffing, topped with Poe-Co Loco Seasoning and chile corn purée.
As a young boy, my mom would leave her sewing needle, with a length of thread, sticking in the arm of our couch while she did other mom things. I found it to be very fun to sling it by holding the thread, at my siblings or dad, to get it to stick in their skin. We always coverd our eyes since that was the only vital spot we didnt want to hit. I cant begin to tell you how hilarious it was. We laughed our ass's off the way you guys do. I have wanted to see you guys do this prank since you first...
Ok, I dont care what prank we pull on my family. If they think I'm dead for a day or two, I think that would be great! My original idea for this I think was going too far or actually would have taken too much time and probably would have cost too much money. Hopefully this wouldnt cost too much, 'cause I think this would be funny as fuck! ha. Ok, well my family will know you're gonna be flying me out to L.A.. What if we make a plane crash and call my family and tell them that thats the plane ...
Back in November I visited The Hollywood Wax Museum on Hollywood Blvd. After pacing through the entire museum, I was bothered deep down in the guch area that there were no Jackass wax mannequins! So I took the liberty of making my own Johnny Knoxville mannequin. The plan was to make one, fly it down to LA(couch of course) and then try to actually get it into the Hollywood Wax Museum as a joke. Now the joke/prank has evolved!...
The improved clinch knot… why is it improved? Well, the improved version of this popular fisherman's knot includes an extra tuck under the final turn. If you want to learn how to tie the improved clinch knot, just watch this video with Wade Bourne of MyOutdoorTV.
Because soccer players strike the ball into the goal with quick speed, the goalkeepers have to be even faster in order to prevent a score. With such agile goalkeepers, however, how do soccer stars manage to get a goal in at all?
Next time you're out on the dock, try out this fishing knot. The Albright knot is known for it's adaptability to inequality. This is definitely a fishing line knot you should know! Watch this tying animation to learn how to tie it.

Minecraft is a great game as it is, but there are many mods out there that make it even more fun to play. Installing these mods may seem difficult, but with a little practice, it becomes extremely easy.
This is a cheap and easy way to make a sticky fly trap that can catch tons of whiteflies. Get a can of Tanglefoot’s Tangle-Trap Sticky Coating. I stored this in the greenhouse which may not have been a great idea, as you can see by the amount of rust there is on the can.
GreenYou can tell a lot about a person's thought process by MTG color they favor: Red: aggressive, unsubtle, will surpass an obstacle by blowing it to bits with the largest explosives available (or Fireballs, as the case may be
Hi : ) This is version 2 of chloroform surprise (as version 1 submitted was a bit too dangerous) . This time we have a professional anesthesiologist to help anaesthesia. He/She will use a pre tested knock out cocktail that suits each jackass individually, so that this remains safe for everyone in the team!
Fly out of the catapult with the Jackass flag, you could either land in poo or water
In this tutorial, we learn how to restore your American Girl doll's shiny silky hair. You can wash and condition the hair, use a flat iron on the lowest setting, trim the ends and fly-aways with scissors, and more! If you have done all of this and it's just not shiny enough, you can help fix it. First, you will put a plastic bag around her body. After this, this is the bag so her skin won't be affected. Now, cover her face with a towel so just her hair is left. Now, take some Son of A Gun spr...
