PC Gamer represents all that was awesome about games journalism in the '90s, now sadly diminished. Brilliant, funny, full of integrity, and solid print sales were always present, and with the tragic exception of the latter, still are. Video game magazines were hit harder than nearly any other magazine vertical when the internet began its uncoordinated, but inevitable assault on print media. Magazines are now struggling to find their place in a world filled with more competitors than paying cu...
Most of the oddest games in the world are free web games. They may not always be well made, but low budgets (and consequently low risk) allow them to be as weird as they fancy. That's a big part of why they are so interesting. Prime examples such as Don't Take It Personally, Babe, It Just Ain't Your Story and Lesbian Spider Queens of Mars have graced these pages previously, and both are great games. But the quality of the games hasn't stopped mysterious Glorious Trainwrecks user snapman (else...
Imagine a Jackass movie with all girls in it. Let's show everyone how a girl can do everything these jackass stars can do. We'd just need to change it up a bit.
The first Phone Snap challenge has come to an end and we have a winner! Congratulations to Rob Sawyer, for his funny and creative spin on the infamous Play-Doh character, "Mr. Bill gone MAD!!!".
Ogilvy & Mather are no amateurs when it comes to Scrabble. They may not play the game, but they sure know how to promote it. The prestigious advertising and marketing agency has created several video commercials for Mattel, not to mention over 60 amazing print adverts that are funny, hip and sometimes salaciously naughty.
Nine-year-old Azura of Middle Road, Worcester (England) inadvertently pranked her whole neighborhood (and whoever else happened to be browsing the area on Google Street View) when she dropped "dead" to the pavement.
But it seems like all of the major social networks are determined to send you one anyway: Pinterest:
Congratulations to Eline Art for "Puddle Reflection", the winning photo for this past week's Phone Snap Challenge!
After Cory Poole posted some great Escher snowflakes, and Cerek Tunca had the great idea of using it as a base for a tetrahedron, well, I just had to give it a go. I will post a few more pictures and variants later (I think this was what Cerek was envisaging—if not let me know!)
This pic was taken with a Samsung Infuse, and I used the Vignette Demo app. I'm new to the camera phone thing, so be kind!
We've covered Glitch before, the oddball indie social MMO involving the minds behind Flickr, Katamari Damacy, and Game Neverending. Yesterday, the game officially left Beta and entered general release. Anyone can create an account and start playing for free, although there are freemium elements in the form of real money purchasable clothing items.
It turns out that the silver crinkly material traditionally used for wrapping leftovers and making funny hats to block out messages from extraterrestrial beings is pretty darn useful for a number of other random but handy tasks, such as sharpening your scissors and keeping bugs away from your vegetable garden. What can aluminum foil not do? Seriously.
hi i'm sam hinson and i have another idea for u guys. it's called seat belt death trape and well you put super glue in the buckle and have hem drive down a big hill and set the breaks up o that it seems as though it is broken. o the person is now traped in the car but at the last min one of the guys uses a controler to make he brakes work. this idea ame from sam hinson and richard barnum we hope to one day work with the jackass guys and get paid to come up with awsome ass stunts and funny ass...
This article is really hilarious. For you writers out there. Just remember that it is not your job to worry about things like these. Grammar is not your job, but it is this guy's job so I thought it was a funny example of how editors can get flustered by the most minute details, while the writer is almost certainly wrapped up in the big picture. As writers, we all have common mistakes we make, this is one man who cannot stand it.
hey, here's one of my favorite pranks to do, you have to choose the right victim though, they have to be kind of obedient and gullible. First fill a bowl with water, then stand on a chair and place the rim of the bowl directly on the ceiling. Next push the broom stick on the bottom of the bowl to keep it there. Then ask someone to "just do a quick favor and hold it there for a sec", then take the chair away and they are left there with no way out but to let the bowl of water fall on them. I'l...
This is fan art for a movie that has been announced but I don't think the script is even written. Universal has won a four-studio bidding war to win the film rights to the classic Atari video game Asteroids. Newcomer Matthew Lopez, who came out of Disney’s writing program and did work on Bedtime Stories, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Race to Witch Mountain, has been hired to write the screen adaptation.
Serious Eats has posted a recipe for walnut fortune cookies, a fun homemade treat for your family and friends. Just think of all the customizable messages you can slip in there. Funny, naughty or just plain old sweet...
Feeling like you're trapped in a creative rut? Try painting the walls of your room blue and dimming the lights. Studies have shown that blue-colored walls and dim lighting are conducive for creating a creatively stimulating environment.
One of our favourite movies of 2011—Manborg, which we saw at Toronto After Dark—has become one of our favourite movies of 2012 with its week-long run here in Toronto at the Royal. A gloriously funny pastiche of ultra-cheap kung-fu, horror and sci-fi, Manborg is also a perfect example of the DIY ethic: it wears its rough, hand-made edges proudly, and its intense roughness makes its devotion to ‘80s channel-100-at-3-AM crap-cinema ephemera even funnier. We had a chance to speak with director St...

Gameday! Bring on the best and most evil pranks. Humiliate those closest to you. This devastatingly simple office prank requires nothing out of the ordinary to perform. In fact, you could probably execute this right now, without getting up from your chair.
Who hasn't gone mad trying to fix his/her computer, trying to delete all of the harmful software? It may not be funny with a real virus, but a fake one is. Or course, you can make a simple virus just with Notepad. There's no need to download applications to fool others; in less than 1 minute you will learn how to create a fake virus to scare friends, family or even teachers! Why not?
Many new players wonder how one actually gets a rating in SCRABBLE. Now, we're talking about an official rating, not one you would get on SCRABBLE Beta or with the ISC WordBiz player — I mean an "Official SCRABBLE Rating". A rating that allows you to play in the National SCRABBLE Championship (NSC), which is held once every year (sometimes two).
No longer do you need to crowd around your tiny smartphone to watch a funny YouTube video with your friends. If you've got a display nearby with a web browser and internet access, you can take control of it with your mobile device for free with the new Clik app.
URUSHIOL 61 points (11 points without the bingo) Definition: a toxic liquid [n]
Innocence meets malignancy. Expressiveness meets perversion. Farmville meets Disturbia. Can you top these funny and disturbing FarmVille hay bale art masterpieces? Surprisingly, few farmers have dedicated their farms to perversity—but maybe more should! I'm surprised no one has designed boobs yet. Most seem to prefer swastikas.
Uproxx recently posted a guide to making popular YouTube video, and I have to say, I'm not surprised that the models of success include web culture faves such as babies, cats and zit popping.
As reported by Android Geeks, the Verizon variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4 will finally see its update to Android 4.4 KitKat. Based on the leaked image of an internal Verizon document, the update (OTA) will be released on May 2nd. This comes about two months after all other U.S. variants have seen their much maligned update, including AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile.
I can't begin to tell you of the many times my friends and I get into arguments that eventually lose any semblance of structure, becoming shouting matches where we just lob the stupidest, meanest insults we can fathom.
I know there are many students going for their first job that are new to the whole interview process. This is why I’m writing this article—to provide some tips on making your first interview experience simpler and hopefully successful. I’m currently in a university, but I had my first job when I was in ninth grade. I’ve held a few jobs and have undergone interviews many times. Sometimes they didn’t go so well, but I did learn from my mistakes. As I learned, I became better at interviews and s...
ANIMATED FEATURE: Thanks to Tom Berger for another animated movie review!
Yeah it's... that's a good movie there Thanks to Tom Berger for another animated movie review!
well I don't know how funny you think it is but I found it hilarious! I had a friend staying with me and he had his own bedroom, well for some reason he put a rug outside the door to his room. We were always playing tricks on each other so one day I picked up his rug and stuck flat sided thumb tacks up through the rug and then put it back down, ( about 20 in all). That was a funny site seeing him trying to get up off of that rug with it stuck in his feet! We always pranked each other and we n...
You will Need! 1 box of detergent (should be at least 3/4 full)
Hi : ) This is version 2 of chloroform surprise (as version 1 submitted was a bit too dangerous) . This time we have a professional anesthesiologist to help anaesthesia. He/She will use a pre tested knock out cocktail that suits each jackass individually, so that this remains safe for everyone in the team!
Dogs are a cartoonist's best friend because it's funny to see them in every day situations. So grab some paper and a pen and get ready to draw your own cartoon dog.You will need a pad of paper, pencil, a marker, colored chalks or colored pencils, and an eraser. Make a shape like a thick boomerang or bent sausage. On the left end, draw a giant oval for a nose, leaving a white space to show shininess. Draw the eyes large and round like 2 ping pong balls, one a little bit behind the other. This ...
hey im jesse...whats up u guys!..listeni know there are alot of panks that have been send to you guysand most of them probably have to do with pranking one of the jackass crew...am i rightbut i think we need a new kind of prank that would be involving a real civilian ( not actor) and one of the jackass crew...that way at first one of the jackass crew member wouldnt be suspecting something that he will be pranked...so we prank the civilian first then one of the jackass crew member, so here is ...
I loved The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay for so many reasons. For its fantastical sense of adventure, set against the real world action and tragedy of the Jews in Europe during World War Two. I loved the opening chapters of Josef in Prague – a city I spent several months in a few years ago and one of the most beautiful places I’ve been. Reading scenes set in Prague and descriptions of places I’ve seen made the story that much more personal for me.
Like a great acting performance, making a really good game is all about choices. While creating or playing a game, those involved have to constantly make small choices that will affect the outcome, either positively or negatively. And the only thing worse than choosing wrongly is not choosing at all. Too many games, especially today, stick to what they're supposed to do from the get-go and avoid making difficult, small, meaningful choices to differentiate themselves and make their performance...
Although circles are Google+'s answer to the problem of social network relationship management, that's not the only thing it's good for. People on Google+ are using circles for all sorts of creative activities, some of which aren't obvious as first glance.
