A cool show aired in the UK on Channel 4 last night where a number of ordinary subjects (note: we are not citizens!) had to disappear for 28 days whilst being pursued by professional hunters using the powers available to the State. In a recent survey of more than 5000 UK jobseekers by TotalJobs.com, it was found that 60% spend less than two hours working on each application following a job search, all inclusive of the time it takes to write a CV and covering letter, and to prepare for an interview.
Uh oh. Somebody screwed up big this time. It has recently been reported that Iraqi insurgents have used $26 software to intercept live video feeds from U.S. drones located in Middle East conflict zones. The drone (a remotely piloted aircraft) is considered one of the U.S. military's most sophisticated weapons. Apparently not sophisticated enough, however.
