It was 5:30 AM when the bus I'm on passed by Gohotels when we noticed the road become like a huge river. I asked myself if it rained (Ondoy memories are still fresh) but everything was dry except the highway which was flooded with water almost knee deep.
These pictures was taken on the bus during my ride going home from work. My heart reaches out to them, Street children who cannot afford to buy food. Who resort to sniffing solvent fumes just to forget hunger and the harsh reality of life.I just wish I could something for them. I saw them on the sidewalk near SM Makati under MRT Ayala Station.

Here's another cool hack using the Kinect, albeit one beyond the reach of most of us. Some students, staff, and professors at MIT have developed "hand detection" software using the Kinect's motion sensor. Below is a demonstration of this software. It recalls Tom Cruise's iconic scenes from the movie Minority Report.

Nobody anywhere calls the sport "soccer". But here we are, the only ones in South Africa that do not call it some variation on foot and ball. And of course, if you've pondered this before, you are probably equally befuddled that the game we call football is not even played with one's foot in the first place. The shoulder or deltoid is made up of three muscular heads: anterior (front), medial (middle), and posterior (rear). Each head plays a different role in how the shoulder moves. The front shoulder raise mainly works the front head of the shoulder, although each head assists with the movement. As with most shoulder exercises, this one can be performed seated or standing. It can also be done one arm at a time or in alternating fashion. Here is how it's done:
The two arm dumbbell row exercise is used to target the back, primarily the latissimus dorsi or "lats." The lower back is also used in this exercise as a stabilizer. However, many individuals can often mistake this exercise as an arm exercise. While in fact you are incorporating your arms in this routine, it is important to remember that the main focus is the back. When performing this exercise it is very important to remember proper form; failure to do so could lead to back and neck pain.
Alternating supermans are ideal for strengthening the deeper muscles of the lumbar spine. The abdominal muscles are also heavily involved in stabilizing the core during this exercise.
