Wax foods are looking pretty scary-real these days. Here's a demonstration of how lettuce is made for food displays in WTF land itself—Japan.
If only airline safety cards were more like this in real life, we would be much more tempted to read them. Then again, in the unlikely event of an emergency, we'd have to endure cries of "Won't someone please think of the children!?"
Step back in time and experience the exquisite medieval village of Locronan, in Brittany Northwestern France.
Law enforcement can make a lot of folks cringe. Too often do we hear on the news, and even experience in our own lives, the unjust way that an unacceptable portion of law enforcement treat the very citizens they are supposed to protect. People's rights are violate each and every day by law enforcement, simply because they are timid and uneducated with the laws of society. This dirty trickery shouldn't be played on harmless citizens under any circumstances.
just experimented to wear those eyeglass which are partially concave and convex no editigns and mixings in this
Taken with Samsung Epic 4G Touch (Galaxy S II) used Little Photo to "Double Expose". I used to do this for real with an old camera on Black & White Film this is so much easier :-)
As the weather gets colder, you may be experiencing more irritating dryness on your lips. Thankfully, if you've misplaced your favorite lip balm stick and don't like using Vaseline, you can use many common household items to relieve your kissers to make them feel soft and smooth once more.
I guess kids who spend their time playing super mario have now grown to be .. bigger kids that still play super mario. Great stop motion short.

Que son los codigos QR, el sistema que une el mundo real con el virtual para revolucionar nuestra vida.
TANK DOG!!! Most hilarious costume I've seen this year. YouTube user darkbluedrew won first place at their local Petsmart's Howl-o-ween costume contest. Complete with a real enough weapon...
Last week's Community Byte we got off to a great start! We had a few people build our IRC bot, and all went well. We had some great contributers, ideas, and people willing to learn. So, needless to say, we will be having another. Let's try to get a few more people involved this time!
Photograph of a fractal reflection exhibit at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. The only real objects are the central ball and the green, red, and blue light sources that you can see multiple images of.
Found this strange creature beside the road. Didn't dare to touch it, so i took a picture instead. These are actually its real colors- no image enhancing filters or stuff. Taken with a Olympus point and shoot camera.
I'll be putting up a real welcome post along with a quick project idea in a couple of hours, but if you managed to navigate to here before that time, I just want to say thanks for coming and wish that you return in a few hours.
Potions have been the interest of discussions lately - it was hinted that they would be made using a cauldron. Recent news, however, suggests that the above "brewing stand" would be used instead.

The Zelda series has always had phenomenal music. In honor of its 25th anniversary, a 70 piece orchestra and choir will preform a selection of songs from the legendary games at the Pantages Theater in Los Angeles on Friday, October 21st. It's a bit pricey, but also could be a once-in-a-lifetime game music experience.
Listen up Scrabblers... you finally have something to brag about besides knowing what MUZJIK is, and if you think it's elevator music, put those tiles back in the bag and pack up your Scrabble board because this doesn't apply to you.
The debate over whether video games can be considered art or not has intensified in recent years as games like Braid and Flow have taken the digital aesthetic experience to new heights. These new games are great examples, but there are much older ones that present compelling arguments as well. The best is a 1986 ZX Spectrum/Commodore 64/Amstrad CPC game called Frankie Goes To Hollywood.
Like Rachel, I cannot win this week's challenge, but I thought it would be fun to post a picture I took with my iPhone. Actually, I'm not a big fan of taking pics with my smartphone—I rarely do it. But I didn't happen to have my real camera on me when taking a stroll through Bubblegum Alley in San Luis Obispo. This is the only image I ended up snapping with my iPhone.
Nobody could predict the success of Microsoft's Kinect, not even Microsoft themselves. So, it was quite a surprise when it ended up earning a Guinness World Record for fastest-selling consumer electronics device, and an even bigger surprise to see people buying one that didn't even own an Xbox 360.
Beautiful cloud formations over London, England. Surprisingly difficult to see much of the sky here in the city, you almost forget its up there. But when you do and its as lovely as this, its a real mood-lifter! ~ <3
Its amazing the access actors have to sets and what they could share with us if they took the time to document their experience. Sean Young has done just that, by sharing her Super-8 films from the making of the David Lynch Classic Sci-Fi Film - Dune. Shot in Mexico City in the Spring of 1983, this 6 minute film is a must see for Dune or David Lynch lovers.
I am more excited for this indie gem from Supergiant games than I am for any other 2011 release. The gameplay, visual style, music, and unique narration all look focused and stimulating.
Faux Wood Blinds Faux Wood Blinds are growing in popularity and are a great alternative to real wood blinds.
The bombing science website is a real cool place to browse through more that a thousand flicks of street art, and has an awesome blog for keeping up to date in the urban art community. Check it out!
Rajo's out on the prowl, watching documentary films, meeting documentary fans, and making a daily documentary of his experiences. Check back every day this week for more updates!
So someone took a ThinkGeek April Fool's Day joke and turned it into something real and awesome.
This picture is the basis of my first how-to blog post. I made it a couple summers ago with a neighborhood family. I really wanted to show how much fun the kids. I could have tried to capture each of them individually in one perfect shot but this picture is the real story! Such a fun family!
Sticking with our theme of XBLA games with uninspiring names, we have Outland. This game shares its name with an unrelated sci-fi cult film from 1981, unrelated comic strip from the '90s, and unrelated region in World of Warcraft. Didn't exactly try hard to build name recognition. Other than that, Finnish developer Housemarque has created the best 2D platformer I've seen in years.
When you grab a video game off the shelves, finding love is probably not your end goal. Most games focus on letting the player shoot guys, order other guys to shoot guys, or build houses. Mass Effect 2 comes closer than most titles to offering virtual romance, but the relationships are shallow and strictly heterosexual. I found whoring my way around the Normandy much more satisfying as a gameplay option than developing an emotional connection to another character.
The LATC Youth Sumer Conservatory is an a amazing one month program for High School students. It varies from voice training to, improvisation, and movement. It is a great experience for students that have had training before but also for those who want to start exploring the art of theatre.
This are photos from the first dish I made which was Shrimp made Scampi style, I made a few mistakes but far less than I had predicted so an overall success for my first real cooking attempt although the shrimps lacked flavor which I believe is due to lack of salt.
German artist Michael Sans Berlin taxidermied a somewhat sadistic homage to one of his nation's most traditional craft objects, the cuckoo clock (the first version was made in southwest Germany's Black Forest between 1740 and 1750).
