UPDATE: Looks like the previously featured mysterious translucent skeletal specimens aren't the work of unknown scientists, but rather a project by Japanese scientist-turned-artist Iori Tomita. Tomita majored in fisheries as an undergraduate student, and has since used his knowledge to create a beautiful collection of mutated sea creatures, called “New World Transparent Specimens". Tomita creates his specimens by dissolving their flesh, and then injecting dye into the skeletal system.

Mafia 2 is coming August 24th to the PC, PS3, and 360. From early reports it looks like the only version worth getting is on the PC. Between consoles, the 360 version is less 'crappy'. Besides the video, look at the pictures below to determine the picture quality:
You can get Alien Swarm for free on Steam starting today. Alien Swarm is a 4 person co-op adventure with an updated Source engine and the ability to create custom levels. Think of this as a top view Left 4 Dead or Killing Floor, but with aliens. Too bad they are not zombie aliens, but it's a free game so we can't complain.

In this Illustrator CS2 video tutorial you will learn to import and place images into a document. A placed image does not exist within a document; it is linked like a web page image and updates instantly if there are any changes to the original image. Somewhere in a back-end update, Google snuck a Google Maps Trivia game into its mobile Maps apps. We love Google Now around here (okay, maybe I do more than others), and today Big G snuck in a nice little functionality when searching for an artist. Exclusive to the US for now, when you enter an artist or band into Search, you'll be presented with listening options for apps you have installed on your device.
Adobe, eBay, and iCloud have been hacked...now add Spotify to that list. The company has stated that on May 27th, they became aware of "some unauthorized access to [their] systems and internal company data" but that "only one Spotify user's data has been accessed and this did not include any password, financial or payment information."
