Now that most Android devices have either USB Type-C or a Micro-USB port that supports USB OTG, phones are capable of importing media files directly from a camera using a simple (and cheap) adapter.
Unless you're experienced using the Linux terminal, running ADB and Fastboot commands can get confusing very fast.
