This is a continuation of a previous post about getting "unfocused" with your DSLR. We all work hard to get pictures that are sharp and have perfect focus. Maybe we’re missing the forest for the trees. Think about mood, color, ideas—in other words, not your gear.

Moving up from a point and shoot to a digital single lens reflex camera is a big step. And actually, a DSLR can be a better buy than a new point and shoot, many of which rival the prices of entry level or used DSLRs. Keep in mind when you buy a new body, the lenses are the most important elements. Once you start investing in them, it makes it much harder to switch brands. So if it isn’t too late, do some research.
i normally use my 5d canon, but more and more i'm drawn to use just my cell phone... even at paid photo shoots! love my hipstamatic app :)

Its amazing the access actors have to sets and what they could share with us if they took the time to document their experience. Sean Young has done just that, by sharing her Super-8 films from the making of the David Lynch Classic Sci-Fi Film - Dune. Shot in Mexico City in the Spring of 1983, this 6 minute film is a must see for Dune or David Lynch lovers.
WonderHowTo user lex lugo of Bootleg Entertainment posted this fun spoof on musical classic Westside Story to the Canon 7D World forum. The short starts off with some pretty (amazingly) goofy dance-offs; stay tuned 'til the end if you dig 2D violence.
This picture is the basis of my first how-to blog post. I made it a couple summers ago with a neighborhood family. I really wanted to show how much fun the kids. I could have tried to capture each of them individually in one perfect shot but this picture is the real story! Such a fun family!

Despite being amazing cameras, the Canon 7D and 5D Mark II can only shoot HD video at 60 fps. However, with an After Effects plug-in called Twixtor, you can slow it all the way down to 1000 fps, as demonstrated with these BMXers: Previously, HowTo: Build Your Own DIY SuperMacro Lens.
