I've had a few short chances to see 3d printing in action, namely at the World Maker Faire in New York this year, and I have to say, the technology is very interesting.

With the low budget of $300 bucks, Michael Ashton and pals created the below 12-minute short film entitled Lazy Teenage Superheroes, complete with some pretty great looking SFX.
