How To: Pre-scoop ice cream

Martha Stewart shares a Good Thing for pre-scooping ice cream, then shows one viewer how to re-pot a cactus. To save a little time at a party, prepare perfect scoops of ice cream for your guests ahead of time. Cover a cookie sheet in plastic wrap for insulation, and then begin scooping. To get smoother spheres, dip the scoop in cool water as you go. These single-dip servings will hold their shape in the freezer until you're ready to transfer them to bowls. Pre-scoop ice cream.

How To: Patch your hardwood floors

Part of the charm of hardwood floors is their imperfections. Slight variations in grain and color, as well as the minor spots and specs in the wood help provide an aged-to-perfection look for your floors. However, you may encounter a cracked plank or damage to a section of your floor that doesn't look quite so attractive.

Remember the oh so delicious buttery popcorn you could only get at the movie theater? You can actually make popcorn that tastes this good right in your own home. News: Rock-paper-scissors

I've been having this idea to build a redstone-version of rock-paper-scissors but never got around to do it. Building big redstone-contraptions on survival-servers isn't easy and single-player creative mode is a bit silly if you want to build a 2-player redstone-game. :)

TSA: Useful or Useless?

Oh yeah, this is a big topic, at-least for me. All the frequent flyers will/should be interested in this topic. I'm sure all of you have heard at-least something about the TSA, and most of it should have been bad. Complaints, lawsuits and general disgust surround this organization. Is there a reason, or are the 'extremist liberals' at it again? Let's find out!

Minecraft Adventures: Questworld Shipwrecked #1

This is the beginning to one of my favorite Minecraft series, Shipwrecked. Three guys (Brent, Eric & Wes) film themselves as they go through an Adventure Map called Shipwrecked. Brent, Eric and Wes really get into character and make this series a must-see! It's hilarious and so much fun to just watch them as they go through the quest lines.

How To: Get the 'You Can Be My Wingman Anytime' Achievement in Battlefield 3

In the level "Going Hunting", you take control of the co-pilot of an F-18 Hornet tasked with shooting down enemy planes. To get the 'You Can Be My Wingman Anytime' achievement, you'll need a perfect playthrough of the level. That means you don't get hit, and all the enemy planes are shot down without running out of ammo. Do this, and you'll get 30G on Xbox 360, or a bronze trophy on PlayStation 3. If you need some guidance, check out the video below.

News: Make your own Handmade Parade with giant puppets

My goal here is to eventually show every single thing that people have come up with using PVC pipe so that we can be truly innovative here. What I'm starting to notice is that the cutting edge is in constant motion. We, as human beings, continue to improve on yesterday's ideas. While this page in particular is not extremely remarkable, it continues to show the versatility of this material. Sooner or later though, this coarkboard should have a nice rundown of everything that people are doing. ...

How To: Find Every Terminal and Skull in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary

In this awesome five-part series, the Achievement Hunters break down how to find every terminal and skull in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. Skulls have been gameplay modifiers, and have been a part of the series since Halo 2. Basically, you start a single player level off with a bunch of these guys on to drastically increase difficulty, change the way you play, or induce silliness. The terminals are a fairly recent addition to the series, and give a bunch of back-story on the different cha...

How To: Get the 'Scout Leader' Achievement in Modern Warfare 3

This is one of those achievements that takes some time. How much, you ask? Well, it spans the entire single player game, so quite some time. The Achievement Hunters are on the case, though. In the videos below, you'll see how to gather all of the enemy intel in the first two-thirds of the game. But what about the last act of the game?! They're working on it, and once it's up I'll be updating this post to include it.

News: "Frankie Goes to Hollywood" Says: Welcome to the Pleasuredome!

The debate over whether video games can be considered art or not has intensified in recent years as games like Braid and Flow have taken the digital aesthetic experience to new heights. These new games are great examples, but there are much older ones that present compelling arguments as well. The best is a 1986 ZX Spectrum/Commodore 64/Amstrad CPC game called Frankie Goes To Hollywood.

News: Iconic Movie Posters Recreated in Neon

Pop Art by Mr Whaite is a cool tumblr featuring a series of neon film posters for popular movies. The artist says: "I love neon signs—they’re hypnotic, sexy, sleazy and tacky all at the same time—and I’ve always thought it would be cool if cinemas used them to advertise films. So with that in mind, I thought I’d have a go at designing some animated Movie Neon. My first attempt is Ghostbusters—an obvious choice really, particularly as neon featured heavily in the video for Ray Parker Jr’s sing...

How To: Transform Multiple Screens into One Big Virtual Display

The Junkyard Jumbotron is an amazing project that allows a collection of random web browser enabled displays—laptops, smartphones or tablets—to share a single image split across the group, creating one large virtual display. Created by Rick Borovoy at MIT's Center for Future Civic Media, the app is completely free and open, meaning you can do it yourself in a matter of minutes. It works like this:
