Sometimes good food and exercise is not enough to lose weight. Maybe you do it all, you drink tons of water, you exercise daily, you eat what you're supposed to and stay away from what is bad for your waist. However, you can't lose the weight you have gained over the past couple of months or even years. What to do now?

With Microsoft's release of the Kinect SDK, things seem to have slowed down a bit in the world of Kinect development. Have developers exhausted the uses of Kinect already? No way! Four researchers at Cornell University have created an AI-based system on the Kinect that can recognize what you're doing, and maybe even who is doing it.
Earlier this month, game developer David Braben and his Rasberry Pi nonprofit foundation revealed a $25 USB PC. The computer can connect to an HDMI monitor on one end, and a USB peripheral on the other (such as a keyboard or a USB hub). You can use the USB hub to connect multiple items, such as a keyboard, mouse, printer, USB ethernet/wireless, creating a fully functional computer.
With give or take 250 million cars in America, odds are most city dwellers waste time hunting for parking spots. And while a smartphone app can't make free parking spots magically appear, it can aid in the searching process.
It'd be nice to see what a penny will buy these days. Maybe you could draw something showcasing the many uses still available today for a penny (if any). With gas prices rising, it'd be nice to know you can still get something out of one cent.

Yup, that's right! There is a new larp starting up near me, called Cobalt Nightmares, where the theme is Post Apocalyptic Fantasy. I have to admit, I absolutely adore the Post Apocalyptic genre (especially that awesome Fallout LARP in Poland), and I'm interested to see what happens when it becomes a fantasy game instead of a science fiction game.
Missions to Mars are far and few between because the fuel is so costly. Solution? A pair of scientists are proposing that elderly astronauts are sent on one-way missions to Mars, to boldly go... and not come back:
Every day of the week, WonderHowTo curators are hard at work, scouring the web for the greatest and most inspiring how-to videos. Every Friday, we'll highlight our favorite finds.
Dr. Elena Bodnar proposes a silly idea. Why not wear a bra that double as a gas mask? No point in being ill equipped (in the event of fires, terrorist attacks, dust storms or a swine flu outbreak). The instructions are simple: In the event of an emergency, remove bra.
Proposition 23 is the act where they would suspend AB 32, the global warming act of 2006. If proposition 23 is enacted by voter this would pause the porvision of AB 32 until California's unemployment rate drops to a 5.5%. The unemployment rate at this current point is as high as a 12% and has been like that for the exception of 3 times since 1980. supporters call it California Job Anitiative and opponents call it the Dirty Energy Proposition. In this article it states the reason proposition 23...

Do you want to know what's better than a bouquet of a dozen red roses? How about a bouquet of bacon roses? Or, if you aren't a meat-eater, a bouquet of hand-crafted origami roses or ones made of duct tape that won't wither away within a couple of days?
In the early 20th century, some people decided that it would be a great idea to play polo with cars. Sounds like a great idea, right? It was, and it wasn't.
First Off I Uploaded That Pic, cuz I Rock That Hat Better Then Knoxville Himself ! :D Anyway .... Alright, So maybe not the most "Gnarly" prank ever, but I think it would be f-ing sweet !!
Waiting for school to start? Have you been practicing reading in the meantime? Here's our most honest and effective "cheat" to help you out.
I came across your tutorial on external flash I could not get enough of it. I bought one and had no idea how to work it. Your tutorial did teach me a lot, you seem to explain it in detail. You made it sound a lot easier than it is.I am looking forward to more videos in the future to learn more about my camera and the fllash. My husband bought me a Canon Rebel a couple years ago and created a monster. I am an artist love to draw and it seems to show in my pictures.
This book surprised me. I read it for 2 reasons. 1) It seemed like one of those decently famous books that I should probably have read.
This is Episode one of our new show/series of "Minecraft: Hardcore Objective". In this episode we will be trying out a little design that flag made up in around 20min. This episode is the the best due to the fact it was recorded 40min after it was decided to be done. All future episodes will be harder, more planned out, and better objectives. If you have any ideas feel free to leave them in the comments below.

We've talked about the deep web before, but we never really covered the details of what's out there. It occurred to me that a nice list of resources would be very helpful to all of you anons out there. Think of this like a helpful brochure to the hidden web.
Spring has sprung, which means it's time to plant all those delicious vegetables and lucrative cash crops. If you are like me, every year you meticulously plan every aspect of your garden before dutifully neglecting it all summer. I decided enough was enough and built this simple automatic watering system.
I've been having this idea to build a redstone-version of rock-paper-scissors but never got around to do it. Building big redstone-contraptions on survival-servers isn't easy and single-player creative mode is a bit silly if you want to build a 2-player redstone-game. :)
What should you do in case of a major zombie outbreak? Many of the best survival techniques follow the same logic as to how you should prepare for major natural disasters; stock up on food and medical supplies, have an escape route, and form a community of people you can work with. When you're dealing with the flesh-eating undead, it also helps to invest beforehand in full body armor, weapons, and basic parkour lessons so that you know how to scale walls and jump across buildings when a horde...
PoorManMods was created and funded by Mike Frederick (Freddy) with the help of his good friends Dan Lindsey, Mark Roman, Zach Moser, Eric Schuelke, and Tony Fonti.

Continuing the march of consumer electronics companies to put video editors in every possible device, it seems Sony is about to unveil a new video editor called PlayMemories Studio for the PlayStation 3.
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! So you can make some awesome stuff with it. Yes, snow is icy cold and a pain to shovel, but it's also what classic holiday memories are made of. Build a snowman or a snow penguin. Or if you're feeling ambitious, build a huge snow cave you can hang out in with your friends.
What started off as a meme, has turned into a near reality. When the E3 trailer for Battlefield 3 was released this summer, it started off with a soldier holding up a dinosaur statue. Obviously, this means that DICE (the developers) should release a DLC pack where you're fighting dinosaurs. This is the next best thing, I guess. DICE, if you're listening, I've got loads of ideas for the dinosaur DLC.
Redditor Liktwo is a genius. It only took him a month after the release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to realize that making the Dragonborn's helmet out of bacon was the best idea since...Jeeze, maybe of all time.
Here's your Tuesday afternoon "How the...". In The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, if you head to Dawnstar, there exists an invisible chest filled with a lot of good stuff. Yeah, I had no idea about this either. And the coolest part about this? If you follow the video guide to the T, the chest will refill every 48 hours, sometimes with new stuff in it.
Congratulations to Bryan Kiguchi for Dreaming Little Bird, our winning shot of the Phone Snap Double Exposure Challenge!
After Cory Poole posted some great Escher snowflakes, and Cerek Tunca had the great idea of using it as a base for a tetrahedron, well, I just had to give it a go. I will post a few more pictures and variants later (I think this was what Cerek was envisaging—if not let me know!)
