"Welcome to the chamber of paper and glue, Frankenstein Junior," says Instructables user ddi7i4d. Time to papercraft yourself. Apparently you'll need to set aside 7 whole days for this ambitious project, and you'll need lots of paper, a camera, and free software program Anim8or. Better get started!

Here is a cool video for Trent Reznor's (NIN) side project How to Destroy Angels. It was directed by Rupert Sanders. It looks like it may have been filmed with a Canon DSLR, but it could be a Red camera, as well. If someone knows for sure, send a link with the info.
"A Day in PARIS" is a dreamy short by filmmaker Benoît Millot, shot on the Canon 7D Mark I. The footage looks truly fantastic. Pretty old news by now, but I'm still amazed how pro you can go with a $1500 consumer camera.
VIA Jared Abrams at Cinema5D Seems like Showtime's Californication team are poised to start shooting some footage on the 7D.
Recipe is available. I didn't really get it until a commenter explained: "the orientation of the cookie (apart from distance-to-camera which is only relative) can be easily determined from the marking, which lets one match up graphics to it".
I can't help but feel this video is genius. In the beginning it seems CGI, but quickly you realize its all done with practical camera and effects. Shows what can be done when you are clever.
Wow. Really fantastic fire illusion by WonderHowTo favorite, BrussPup. Hang in there, the magic starts to happen at 0:34. Previously, Jerry Andrus and His Impossible Box.

Amazing footage shot of some highly skilled wakeboarders, entitled "Winch Madness". According to Wikipedia, Wakeskate winching involves "an engine, spool, rope, handle, frame, and some sort of simple transmission. The person being towed walks (or swims) away from the winch and pulls out all of the rope." When the winch lets loose, the boarder can go 15-25 mph.

Ok this idea is funny you get Ryan Dunn to dress like a bum on the streets askng for spare change and Bam gives the bum (Dunn) a burger with a drink and fries and the bum gets mad and says I wanted money, Bam turns around and says what? Then Ryan the bum starts pushing Bam and they get into a fight so people will be watching and at the end Bam kidnapps the bum (Dunn) and takes off and film peoples face expressions.
In this short video tutorial, I will be showing you how to use the new depth of field settings provided by the physical renderer. The physical renderer is new to Cinema 4D (Release 13) and can produce great results if handled properly.
Step 1: Have most of the Jackass crew think they are doing a photo shoot for the upcoming movie. Schedule the shoot in a tear gas chamber that is dressed to look like a photo set. Have secret film cameras planted in the chamber so you don't have any obvious camera men walking around with gas masks on inside the room.
Since we all know Bam is terrified of Snakes I figured this would go above and beyond. The Proof
It’s that time of year (in the U.S. anyway) when people are focused on getting organized -- or rather wishing they were organized. Being organized is great, it affords physical space, mental space and all but insures higher efficiency. But wishing and doing are two entirely different things. Wondering how to achieve the bliss of knowing where your stuff is? It’s easy... if you start small and don’t waste your valuable time watching TV shows or reading magazine articles on “how to” do it.
Lockpicking is a skill that takes years upon years to master. Locks come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, but have common ground in how they work. Most cylinder locks have "tumblers," which are metallic cylindrical objects that sit vertically to the actual locking mechanism. Tumblers have five or six holes with rounded key pins of various height in them, each needing to meet an exact height or the cylinder in the center (the lock itself) will not be allowed to turn. This is the reason why yo...
Learn the Basics of Shooting in "Manual" Mode on your DSLR In this first installment of Photography Basics, we will be exploring and explaining the basics of shooting with a DSLR in various shooting modes. (Difficulty Level: from Newby to Expert) Digital cameras can produce freaky sharp images—it’s one thing that sets them apart from film cameras. A DSLR doesn’t have grain, it has noise—and that sounds a lot less charming for a reason. If you shoot at a low ISO, high f-stop and fast shutter speed, you can wind up with a super sharp image that might look great even on a billboard. But sometimes, sharp isn’t everything.
Do you love video games? Would you devote your free time to creating your own game—one superior to the games you already have? Or at least one that has more Neil Patrick Harris jokes?
Do you ever really know someone? I mean really really? Super really? Sometimes we can talk and be with people normally for years and then bam: five people dead, house on fire, dog missing. All the while people shake their heads and regret that if they had just put the little clues together all of this could have been averted.
NASA just released this beautiful image of what's leftover from a supernova explosion. The red cloud is expanding cosmic debris, the blue is a blast wave of electrons, and the stripes at the edge tell of a high energy burst of x-rays that may be bound for earth. This image was enhanced—Photoshopped—so that scientists can have an easier time interpreting the picture and so that the public can have an easier time appreciating the beauty of nature.
