In this tutorial, we learn how to make simple easy pumpkin pie. First, preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Combine 2 eggs, 1 (16) oz pumpkin puree, 1 (14) oz can sweetened condensed milk, and 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice in a mixing bowl. Mix this well until everything is well combined, and pour into a pie shell. Bake this in the oven for 15 minutes at the same temperature. Then, reduce the heat to 350 degrees and cook for 35 minutes longer. Once finished, allow the pie to cool then serve with vanill...
Here's a little gadget I made based on the concept of a potato launcher, a stungun, and a dart gun. The gun uses an explosive gas (butane) to launch a charged high voltage capacitor at a target. The gas is ignited by a small spark, created by a pulse transformer. The trigger automatically fills the combustion chamber with the correct amount of gas, then ignites it with the pulse transformer. The result: a long range stun dart gun.
Lots of people are going to be getting the latest iOS devices this holiday season. But what good is a portable device if you don't hack it? Jailbreaking on the latest stock iOS, version 4.3.5, is a bit of a trivial endeavor. Not many people know how to downgrade from this firmware to a firmware that can be jailbroken (pre-iOS 5). Hey all, I've introduced myself in the forum, but for newcomers, I'm former admin of Giveaway Tuesdays, and current moderator of Phone Snap!
Luxirare is a site of mystery; the genius behind the intricate and painstakingly photographed projects remains somewhat anonymous, despite her culinary mastery, fashion pieces and e-shop being featured in the likes of Vogue, Lucky Mag, ABC, NBC, and the New York Times. Insanely stylish and original, Luxirare has been blogged about all over the web.
When photographer Gerco De Ruijter set out to reveal "the Dutch culturally defined landscape"—a hard regiment of efficiency, gridded out by urban and rural planners—he came up with a beautiful aerial representation of abstract patterns. The series, entitled Baumschule, was captured using kite photography and curiously enough, a fishing rod.
New Year's Resolutions are just that for a reason - they're promises we make to ourselves when the clock strikes twelve and we're a little too looped up on celebratory martinis to know any better.
"If I only scrape a living, at least it's a living worth scraping. I feel genuinely lucky to - hand on heart - say I love doing what I do and I may never be a rich man. If I live long enough, I'll certainly have a tale or two for the nephews, and I dig the thought of that."
Who other than Mother Earth? Below, a selection of 10 images from the USGS' Earth as Art, a collection of stunning photographs from the Landsat 5 and Landsat 7 satellites. The bright color is a false effect produced by satellite sensors, but the texture, shapes, patterns, scale- that's all real.
For some, adrenaline beats out every time. Though I've seen countless videos of base jumping, the sport never ceases to amaze. For as much as Shane Hurlbut ASC's name is ostensibly everywhere right now for all the wrong reasons (re: Christian Bale, 5D challenge, etc.), as a cinematographer I think he's extremely talented. The photography and camera work in "The Greatest Game Every Played" are very underrated and the futuristic look he gave to "Terminator Salvation" is both stunning and unique.
Pie and pi lovers rejoice: whether you like eating pies or calculating their area, 3/14 is your day. March 14 is a holiday for both bakers and math nerds: Pi Day, where the day and month correspond to the first three digits of the most famous mathematical constant.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! So you can make some awesome stuff with it. Yes, snow is icy cold and a pain to shovel, but it's also what classic holiday memories are made of. Build a snowman or a snow penguin. Or if you're feeling ambitious, build a huge snow cave you can hang out in with your friends.
I spent the holiday weekend becoming fluent in the basics of modular origami. With practice, you can churn out the below models surprisingly quickly.

Christmas is only a few days away with New Year's right around the corner. If you're like me, you count down the days until Christmas for family and presents like a little kid, and then count down the days until New Year's like an adult that can't wait to have their first cocktail.
