I don't know anyone who doesn't use Google to explore the web. And I don't know anyone who hates Google's Instant Search feature, which is available in all web browsers, as long as you're searching from Google's website.
Short Video on how to get better results with your light plastering...
Easy steps to create viaduct walls and portals for tunnels from cement. Drawings in actual scale are available for free download from www.railmodellingindia.com. Simple process, great result!
Tesla coil music, a method of modulating the frequency of a Solid State Tesla Coil to produce music. The result is an amazing lightshow of electricity, paired with music!
Photo made with Doublexpro using two Hipstamatic Prints. I used several more apps to get the end result.

After a long rainy day of walking around in Central Park I came upon this large puddle on the ground. I put my camera next to hit and tried a long exposure. This is the result. Not much bokeh but a lot of blur.
I thought this one was interesting. Long exposure while zooming out. All of the bright spots from the guitar became streaking lines. Maybe not that scary but I thought it was an interesting technique with an interesting result. Probably would have worked a lot better in a better location! My classroom isn't that interesting.
There's been a proliferation of pitched PVC xylophones in recent times, but a lot of them end up being somewhat cumbersome when it comes to actually get good sound quality. This guy has come up with the solution by making strange drum skins over the ends of the pipes. The result is a super cool sound coming out of a ridiculously cool-looking instrument.
My backyard. I get beautiful sunrises every morning. This is "Hdr'ed" from 5 exposures. I've tried to make the resulting image look painterly without too much "over" processing...but I understand these images can be controversial. I hate 3 quarters of them at least!
This is my little girl 4yrs old. And one crazy day off with dad today!!! I think it would have been better with just her in the photo, but she insisted that I be in the photo (after 3 shots) this is the result!! I am lucky to have some cool kids. #giveawaytuesdays
Ofer Shapiro, Vidyo's CEO talks with Robert Scobleizer and shows of their new telepresence architecture that scales video quality with each individuals connection. The result is a very high quality stream that works across several platforms: Mac, PC, Linux, iPhone, & iPad.
Step 1. Be there at the right place at the right time. Step 2. Target the scene with your camera phone.
It's great to see proof that Google+ is listening to feedback from their users. As a result of the discussion surrounding gender and privacy, Google+ Profiles Product Manager +Frances Haugen announced that Google+ will allow users to hide their genders on their profile.
I love Chucks. I've been wearing the same black pair I've had since 8th grade. I also love Chuck collaborations, and the latest one is pretty exciting. Converse and Nintendo have come together to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Super Mario, and the result is a match made in Mario heaven.
Video games have been a purely digital medium for some decades now. They exist in the electronic nether, embedded on discs and projected on screens. Since digital distribution has gained popularity, even the physical manifestation of the game disc is going away, leaving games (especially digitally distributed indie games) more ethereal than ever before. It is unclear whether this slightly unsettling fact was on the minds of the three people who made Receipt Racer, but regardless, it stands as...
Look at this poor kid, he's exhausted. And as a result, he's a little cranky when it comes to hotDocs' midnight movie program thing, which he says has has lots of potential yet untapped...

In a fascinating preview for an upcoming episode of a National Geographic show, Dr. Jorg Gerlach demonstrates an instrument of innovation in the field of stem cell research. A prototype of a spray-on skin gun allows doctors to coat severe burns with the victim's own skin cells, resulting in nearly healed skin in just four days.

Brazilian photographer Diego Kuffer says he's "hacked" the idea of photography with his chrono-cubism method of compositing photos into collages, resulting in a vibrant tracking of time, space and movement:
The end of Daylight Saving Time means two things: a little less light and, as a result, a little less security. This CCTV lamp will give you more of both. And in the nick of time! We fall back to Standard Time at 2 AM on Sunday, November 7th. Better get building!
The place: Hee Haw Farms, Pleasant Grove, Utah. The players: A record-holding 1,169-pound pumpkin, a four-door Pontiac 6000, and a 175-foot crane. The cause: Just 'cause. The result: Something you'll want to see for yourself.
This website gives you information on the working conditions in factories where popular clothing brands are manufactured. The results are astonishing. See for yourself.

Dentsu London collaborates with BERG to create this futuristic stop motion animation. Made with light drawings on the iPad, the result is beautiful. The first 1:40 of the video describes the creative process. Enjoy: “Making Future Magic”.
If you ever want to see the process of someone who use to be a creative genius but is now down and out, and then watch as he becomes inspired again and rediscover his creative passion, check out this film.
Though photographer Mark Mawson's concept is simple, the results are stunning. In a series entitled Aqueous I and Aqueous II, Mawson took photographs of wet paint dispersed in water. The images evoke jellyfish, or rainbow colored hydrogen bombs. Mawson says:"I had seen lots of ink in water shots and wanted to try something which had more body and which produced more organic forms."
The New York Times has posted a video gallery of top female tennis players — in slow motion. The result reveals (unsurprisingly) a beautiful Amazonian grace in the world's greatest players: Kim Clijsters, Serena Williams, Elena Dementieva, Jelena Jankovic, Samantha Stosur, Victoria Azarenka and Vera Zvonareva.
South African born artist Robin Rhode combines street art with optical trickery, resulting in a cumulation of performance, graffiti, drawing, film and photography.
François Vautier built an art farm into his scanner and then proceeded to scan the farm each week for a duration of five years. Amazing time-lapsed result below. Inspired project... though perhaps not quite as inspired as the massive ant city filled with cement and then evacuated (video #2 in the gallery below). Insane. Don't miss it.
Here is the official trailer for "The Social Network" which is David Fincher's film about FaceBook. The official website for this movie is http://500MillionFriends.com
Photographer Noah Abrams traveled to Afghanistan in the summer of 2009 to document the emerging skateboarding scene there. The results are (frankly) incredible:
I am not sure how this works, but the results are amazing and beautiful!
Simple construction, charming results. If I were salts & sweets' 6-year-old LEGO lovin' cousin, I'd be pretty happy, too.
This gorgeous video demonstrates how something as simple as tilt-shift photography can result in a really beautiful video. I've never been to Joshua Tree, but would love to go sometime. This video makes Joshua Tree look so small that I could just crush it with my hands.
