Just got finished playing Just Cause 2, a fairly new title developed by Eidos & Avalanche. I was fairly skeptical of it due to the 81 metascore on metacritic, but decided to rent it with Gamefly. At first, I was pretty turned off due to the highly repetitive missions (HIGHLY), but after exploring the vast world, I realized it offered so much more.
The Passing takes place before Dark Carnival in L4D2, right after Dead Center. The chapter starts with random chatter between characters of part 1 and 2. You'll see either Francis or Zoey on the bridge, but they don't always say the same thing. Zoey! We miss your slow witted jokes! The game uses the aging Source engine, modified throughout the years with new effects to keep it current. Outdoor scenes look great but indoor scenes suffer.

Bluffing is one of the key components of poker. You may have a horrible hand, but if you can play it cool and raise the bet, you might just be able to convince your opponents otherwise and induce a few folds. But if you can't handle a little subterfuge, then you shouldn't be playing the game. Even the slightest tell could give you away. You have to maintain a poker face, no matter what.

Yesterday, while sitting in first class on his American Airlines flight back to New York from LAX, a flight attendant "reamed" him off the plane for playing the popular Scrabble clone, Words with Friends, and not turning off his phone and obeying signs requiring seat beats. Nearly every game takes strategy to win, but when it comes to games like Scrabble and Words with Friends, you've also got to have a lexically inclined mind full of wonderful and weird words. Most start out by learning all of the two-letter words in the Scrabble dictionary, then work their way up to three-letter words. But where do you go from there?
Players have been soaring through the skies in the popular Ace Combat series of games for a long time. The latest title, Ace Combat: Assault Horizon comes complete with several different unlockable trophies and achievements including the incredibly impressive, "Checking In." The achievement will require you to fly through a hotel in order to unlock it.
Mind control is always awesome, and it's even more awesome when you can use it to unlock achievements. Take the 'Hat Trick' achievement, for example. In Rage, if you manage to kill three enemies using just one mind controlled enemy, you'll unlock 'Hat Trick' on the Xbox 360 version of the game.
The 'It's Good!' achievement and trophy available on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Rage is obtained while driving the ATV in the game. You will need to jump through 3 different posts located at the Ark Emergence site, the Bash TV station, and the Northern Watch tower. This video tutorial will show you where to find all of them.
If you're playing Rage on the Xbox 360, you'll find that your sentry bot is very helpful. For example, if you want to unlock the 'Passive Aggressive' achievement, you can head into the mutant game show and activate your bot. If it gets three kills, you'll get the achievement. Just make sure it doesn't die!

There wasn't a lot of huge news for Indie Games Ichiban to come out of TGS last weekend, but this is a whopper: Level-5 and Studio Ghibli's epic RPG Ni No Kuni is officially coming to America next year. No word on the 3DS version, but the PS3 one will be released in 2012 in North America in English, according to a press conference by principal developer Level-5.
