Edit on a Dime has made it through its first week, dear readers. This week's post on creating 6-sided Kirigami Snowflakes got me interested in seeing whether I could use the process to create tessellation snowflakes using the method. I still haven't succeeded, but I did decide to make some ornaments based off a few of the tessellations by M.C. Escher that have a 6 sided symmetry.

Like Rachel, I cannot win this week's challenge, but I thought it would be fun to post a picture I took with my iPhone. Actually, I'm not a big fan of taking pics with my smartphone—I rarely do it. But I didn't happen to have my real camera on me when taking a stroll through Bubblegum Alley in San Luis Obispo. This is the only image I ended up snapping with my iPhone.

If you're a fan of sushi, then you have to try out this delicious raw fish recipe. It's not your typical raw fish. It's called ceviche, and it's a South American (in this case, Peruvian) dish of marinated raw fish.
